Chivas proposed to have new management and on Monday they arrived on a decision. Jose Luis Real Casillas will continue his stay in front of the team. Real’s will be officially presented as the manager of the club.
Real took over in the Jornada 15 after Chivas released Raul Arias. In the last three games of the season Chivas had a 1-1-1 record. The club released a statement on their official website confirming his appointment, but it only states his time for the Clausura 2010.
“The Club Deportivo Guadalajara S.A. de C.V. informs that from this date forward, Jose Luis Real Casillas has been ratified as manager for the Clausura 2010.
“This decision has been made in a unanimous fashion by the Football council and the Directors taking into consideration experience, knowledge and as a member of our institution, the capacity he has shown during work for the sport philosophy and history of Chivas.”
Real previously worked with the youth forces before moving up to the first team. In addition to Mexican league duties, Real will also be expected to lead Chivas in the Copa Libertadores 2010.
