Revolution cut defender Seth Sinovic

Revs part company with second year player.
The New England Revolution waived second-year defender Seth Sinovic today.

The early signs were good for Sinovic, 24, who made 20 appearances as a rookie in 2010, with 18 starts. He played almost exclusively as a left back, with one start at right back. But this season he did not make an appearance before being cut. The Revolution drafted the Leawood, Kan., product in the second round in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft out of Creighton University.

The Revolution will host the expansion Portland Timbers on Saturday.
