D.C. United have signed striker Mawete Ange N'Silu, after the player trained with the club for nearly three weeks. From the Democratic Republic of Congo, N'Silu is a 22-year-old striker.
“Ange showed very well during our pre-season training and he is deserving of place on our roster,” said United General Manager Dave Kasper. “He is technically sound with good athletic qualities, and will provide solid depth for us on our front line.”
United have a bit of an aging frontline, including 34-year-old Christian Gomez, 35-year-old Jaime Moreno, and 30-year-old Luciano Emilio.
N'Silu signed for French Ligue 1 side Le Harve at the age of 15, but most recently played for FC Le Mont in Switzerland. He scored 25 goals in 31 games for them.
