K’Ogalo were aiming to bounc back from their 3-3 draw against KCB in their mid-week Kenyan Premier League (KPL) outing, but they had to dig deep against their hosts, who were in good form following their 3-0 win against Mount Kenya United in their latest outing.

New Stima coach Babu Salim knew the importance of this game, and he resorted to a cautious approach which saw his side rely on counter-attacks for the majority of the match.

Hassan Oktay's side are now on 60 points at the top of the KPL table after playing 27 games, while Western Stima are on 30 points and 13th on the table, having played one fewer game.
