Commentary

That's all for today, goodbye!
Southampton's losing run is over, but the point isn't enough to lift them out of the relegation zone. They're now winless in five, and Hasenhuttl will be looking to turn that around against Bournemouth. West Ham move up to 11th, and they travel to Liverpool in midweek.
Rice's second-half goal earns West Ham a point in a 1-1 draw with Southampton. Perraud scored his first Premier League goal when his shot deflected past Fabianski, and Paqueta also hit the post for the visitors before the break. West Ham came out quickly in the second half and Rice whipped in a brilliant equaliser from range. The visitors pushed for a winner, with both keepers making good saves to keep their side in it.
90' + 3' FULL-TIME: SOUTHAMPTON 1-1 WEST HAM.
90' + 1' Cresswell lifts a lovely deep cross into the box looking for Soucek, who peeled off the back of Caleta-Car. Bazunu read it well though and stretched to tip it out for a corner.
89' Southampton are claiming that Soucek used his arm to nudge the ball away from Edozie while he was on the floor in the penalty box. His arm was by his side though and the referee waves play on.
M. Antonio
Lucas Paquetá
West Ham United
87' And Paqueta is also taken off, with Antonio on in his place.
M. Lanzini
G. Scamacca
West Ham United
87' Double change for West Ham as they look for a late winner. Scamacca is the first to make way, with Lanzini replacing him.
85' SAVE! Mara spins away from Soucek to lay the ball off to Edozie and the space opens up for him. His dipping shot is pushed away by Fabianski and Mara is offside when he tries to poke in the rebound.
83' GOOD SAVE! Benrahma hooks it forward to Paqueta, and he cushions it into Scamacca's path. He gets goalside of Caleta-Car and fires his shot across goal, but Bazunu rushes off his line to smother it.
81' CLOSE! Kehrer's clearance rolls out to Ward-Prowse, who fizzes a low ball to Diallo through the middle. He decides to try his luck from a long way out and his shot dips just over the crossbar onto the roof of the net.
80' Southampton work it well down their left, with Armstrong playing a good one-two with Edozie. He curls a great cross onto the penalty spot, but Mara can't bring it under control.
78' Southampton are trying to press West Ham higher up the pitch, but they're still struggling to get close to the visitors. They're knocking it around comfortably, trying to open up the Saints.
76' Cresswell takes the corner short to Benrahma this time, but it's played back to the left-back so he can curl a dangerous cross into the crowded box. It's Diallo that meets it just ahead of Soucek.
I. Diallo
A. Maitland-Niles
Southampton
75' And Diallo is also brought on for Maitland-Niles.
S. Edozie
J. Aribo
Southampton
74' Aribo is the third player to make way, with Edozie replacing him.
S. Armstrong
A. Armstrong
Southampton
74' Adam Armstrong is also taken off, with Stuart Armstrong on for him.
S. Mara
C. Adams
Southampton
74' Southampton are using up all of their remaining four changes here. Adams is the first to go off, with Mara on in his place.
72' BLOCK! West Ham are causing all sorts of problems on the counter as Benrahma bursts forward down the left again. He pulls it back to Rice, who is a long way out when he fires his shot down the middle, but Salisu makes the block.
70' It's a poor attempted clearance by Salisu as he gifts it to Bowen inside his own box and the forward takes the shot quickly. Salisu makes the block and there are big shouts for a penalty from West Ham, but his arm was tight to his side and it's only a corner.
68' Southampton are struggling to keep hold of the ball at the moment, with West Ham pressing them much higher upfield. The hosts are trying to get out of their own half, but can't string together enough passes.
66' BLOCK! It's a loose pass from Salisu as he gifts it to Bowen, and he picks out Paqueta on the edge of the box. His shot is blocked by Perraud, and the rebound falls to Benrahma, but Walker-Peters throws himself in front of it to send it over the bar.
S. Benrahma
Assist
West Ham United
64' It was Benrahma's run that dragged West Ham upfield in the first place, and he was on hand to return the one-two to Rice to set up the goal.
D. Rice
Goal
West Ham United
64' RICE EQUALISES! It's a great goal! He originally thought about swinging in a cross, but by playing a one-two with Benrahma, he managed to open up a pocket of space. He curls his cross between the defenders in the box and Bazunu can't stretch to stop it from hitting the back of the net. 1-1!
63' It's a clumsy challenge on Coufal by Elyounoussi, and West Ham have a free-kick in a good position. Bowen swings it in, but can't pick out a team-mate as Salisu thumps it clear.
61' West Ham are keeping the pressure on here and they manage to win a corner. Bowen swings this one in from the right, but it's straight into Bazunu's gloves.
S. Benrahma
Emerson
West Ham United
59' West Ham are making their first change of the game, and it's Emerson that's replaced by Benrahma.
58' Paqueta seemed to slip as he landed on Scamacca and he landed awkwardly on his neck. The medical team are on, and he's going to carry on after treatment.
56' After another Southampton attack is cut out, Johnson sets Bowen away down the right again. His cross is blocked, but Coufal recycles in and Paqueta can't flick his header towards goal.
54' Southampton's attack comes to an early end, and West Ham surge forward on the counter again. Rice goes long looking for Bowen through the middle, but Bazunu comes out to collect it.
V. Coufal
Yellow Card
West Ham United
52' Coufal was late as he slid in on Elyounoussi earlier in Southampton's attack, and he's shown a yellow card.
50' GOOD SAVE! Again, West Ham work it well down their right, and Coufal curls it to Paqueta on the edge of the D. He brings it down and lets it bounce before hitting the half-volley on the turn, but Bazunu pushes it away.
48' CLOSE! West Ham have started the second half brightly and Bowen has space to drive into down the right. He clips a good cross into the near post, and Scamacca improvises by sending it towards goal with his thigh, but it sails just over.
46' Southampton get us back underway for the second half!
Hasenhuttl will be glad about how his team responded to last week's heavy loss and they caused West Ham real problems when they went forward. He'll be hoping they can keep it up after the break. West Ham have still gone close though, and Moyes will be wanting a more clinical performance in the second half.
Perraud's goal gives Southampton a 1-0 lead over West Ham at half-time. It was a good first half for the Saints, who came out strong, and Fabianski has been forced into some good saves to deny Adams. It was Perraud who broke the deadlock with a deflected shot, though West Ham weren't happy as they thought the referee got in Bowen's way in the process. At the other end, Scamacca has come close and Paqueta hit the post.
45' + 3' HALF-TIME: SOUTHAMPTON 1-0 WEST HAM.
45' + 1' Paqueta finds space down the left and he clips a good cross into the box. Bazunu collides with Caleta-Car as they both attempt to deal with it, but Bowen can't take advantage of the empty net as he's nudged off it by Elyounoussi.
K. Walker-Peters
Yellow Card
Southampton
44' Walker-Peters slid in on Emerson long after the ball was gone, and he's shown the first yellow card of the game.
D. Ćaleta-Car
A. Bella-Kotchap
Southampton
42' Caleta-Car is finally ready to come on, and he replaces the injured Bella-Kotchap, who went straight down the tunnel.
41' Bella-Kotchap has stayed down after sliding in on Scamacca, and it looks like he landed awkwardly on his shoulder. They had the stretcher ready, but it won't be needed as he goes straight off the pitch.
39' OFF THE POST! Emerson threads it through for Scamacca, who tangles with Bella-Kotchap before he spins around him. He lifts a great cross into the far post, but Paqueta thumps his header off the outside of the far post.
37' Ward-Prowse clears the corner before rushing out to help Armstrong block Bowen's shot. It bobbles through to Scamacca, whose first effort rebounds back to him before a deflection off Bella-Kotchap takes the second one over the bar.
35' Cresswell swings in a corner and there's a bit of confusion in the box as it hits Aribo before Salisu fires it away. Johnson works it back out to Cresswell, but he sees his cross blocked.
33' West Ham are moving it quicker when they win the ball back, and Paqueta makes good progress down the left this time. He overruns it though and ends up fouling Walker-Peters as he tries to cut inside.
31' GOOD SAVE! Walker-Peters' throw-in is half-cleared by Kehrer, and Aribo slides it through to Adams just inside the box. He drags it away from Johnson before firing a low shot towards the near post, and Fabianski gets down to make the save.
30' Southampton are upping the pressure again here and West Ham are struggling to get close to them as they patiently work it out from the back.
28' Paqueta loses the ball to Walker-Peters and the right-back surges forward on the counter. Paqueta tracks back to make up for his mistake, but West Ham are left furious again when they think a throw-in should've gone their way.
26' Southampton just can't clear their lines at the moment, with Walker-Peters sloppily gifting it to Paqueta. He gets the ball out from under his feet before having a go from distance, but it sails over the bar.
24' CLOSE! Paqueta's throughball is cut out by Aribo, but his touch is heavy and he gifts it straight to Scamacca. He touches it to Bowen before getting it straight back when he shifts into space, and he drills his shot wide of the near post.
22' West Ham are looking to get themselves back on level terms quickly, and it's switched out to Coufal in space down the right. He fizzes a low cross into the box, but Bella-Kotchap hooks it away.
R. Perraud
Goal
Southampton
20' PERRAUD SCORES! Adams volleys it back to the edge of the box, but Soucek scuffs a clearance away. Bowen is beaten to it by Perraud as he comes from behind the forward, and his low shot takes a deflection off Soucek which beats Fabianski. West Ham aren't happy, saying the referee got in Bowen's way, but the goal stands! 1-0 Southampton!
19' CHANCE! Walker-Peters loses it in his own half and Rice's first thought is to look for Scamacca. He drags it around Bella-Kotchap before trying his luck from a long way out, but it flies just wide of the far post.
18' GOOD SAVE! It's a great throughball down the right for Adams to chase, and he does well to outmuscle Kehrer to get into the box. He leaves the defender on the floor as he drills a shot on goal, but Fabianski keeps it out with his foot.
16' Salisu puts another long throw-in into the box, but it comes straight back to him. Everyone is still in the box, so he looks to put a cross in, but slices it into the stands instead.
14' Southampton are enjoying a good spell of possession here, but it's all in front of West Ham. The visitors are dropping deep into a compact shape to stop them from getting through.
12' West Ham are unbeaten in their last four Premier League away games against Southampton (W2 D2). They've kept a clean sheet in each of the last three visits, though the last two have both ended 0-0.
10' Southampton are keeping the pressure on West Ham here and they win a corner that Ward-Prowse curls in. The first one is cleared but he picks out Aribo with the second attempt, and his header is punched away by Fabianski.
8' Adams has Kehrer against his back, so touches it back to Ward-Prowse before spinning away from the defender to get it back on the edge of the back. He drills a low shot on goal, but it's straight at Fabianski.
6' It's well worked from Southampton as they work it from side to side with Walker-Peters swinging a good cross in from the right. It loops up off Adams' shoulder so he goes for the volley, but ends up catching Kehrer in the face.
4' CLOSE! Aribo is caught on the ball just outside his own box by Emerson, who quickly slides it into Scamacca. He spins away from Bella-Kotchap before playing it back to the wing-back and his first-time effort is whipped just wide of the near post.
2' Cresswell swings a corner in for West Ham and Soucek goes down under pressure from Elyounoussi as he glances a header towards goal. He doesn't get any power behind it and Adams hooks it away.
1' Paqueta gets the game underway for West Ham!
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away!

Ogbonna is fit enough to be a substitute after picking up a hamstring injury in that game. Areola, Lanzini, Downes and Benrahma drop to the bench as well. Craig Dawson is out with a dead leg.
Ralph Hasenhuttl makes just two changes to the side that lost to Manchester City last weekend, bringing in Maitland-Niles and Elyounoussi. Diallo and Stuart Armstrong start on the bench, as does Djenepo, who is back after illness.

They've lost just one of their last seven outings in all competitions, winning the other six, including their last two back-to-back in the Premier League.
