Commentary

That's all for today, goodbye!
Bayern stay top of the group with a perfect record so far in the Champions League and their winning run now extends to nine games in all competitions. Next up for them is Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Salzburg are still without a win in the competition this season, but their attention now turns back to the league, where they're unbeaten, and their game against Rapid Vienna.
A late flurry of goals seals a 6-2 win for Bayern over Salzburg. It was 2-1 at half-time with the home side taking the lead four minutes in through Berisha before Lewandowski converted a penalty and Kristensen scored an own goal. Okugawa came off the bench to equalise but Bayern hit back. Boateng, Sane, Lewandowski and Hernandez all scored in the final 13 minutes to secure the points for the reigning champions.

L. Sané

83' SANE SCORES! It's a brilliant goal from the substitute to give Bayern some breathing space. Sane is played in by Kimmich and he turns away from Mwepu and curls his shot into the top far corner of the goal. 4-2 Bayern!
81' Bayern are on the attack again and Muller has a go from just outside the box but it's a comfortable save for Stankovic at his far post. Lewandowski is frustrated as his run wasn't picked up and the German holds up a hand in apology.

72' Okafor isn't picked up as he cuts into the box from the left and he turns away from Alaba to fire a shot towards goal. It looks like Neuer has it covered, but he spills the ball and luckily recovers before Okugawa can latch onto it.
70' Okugawa is in on goal again as he finds himself in a pocket of space in the middle of the box. He keeps his shot low towards the bottom-right corner, but Neuer gets down to hold onto it.

64' OFF THE BAR! Tolisso plays in Coman and he turns away from Kristensen to get in on goal. He hits a powerful shot on goal and Stankovic is beaten as it bounces off the top of the crossbar.
62' GREAT SAVE! Another quick break from Bayern catches Salzburg out and Tolisso spots Gnabry's run down the right. He hits the shot first time when it comes to him and Stankovic denies him again, this time with a strong left hand.

Yellow Card
53' Camara is struggling to stop Tolisso's run and ends up bringing him down just outside the box which earns him a yellow card.

46' GOOD SAVE! Ulmer plays a great low cross into the box and Berisha lets it run through to Mwepu on the right. He drills a shot across goal and Neuer gets fingertips to the ball to tip it around the post.
46' Bayern get us back underway for the second half!
Marsch will be disappointed to be behind at the break after how his team started the game but they have caused Bayern some real problems going forward so he'll want to see more of that. Bayern haven't really tested Stankovic so far and Flick will want his side to be more clinical in the second half to add to their lead.
Bayern come from behind to lead Salzburg 2-1 at half-time. Salzburg took the lead four minutes in when Berisha beat Neuer at his near post. Gnabry had an effort cleared off the line before Bayern had a penalty overturned by VAR. 33' Gnabry does really well to keep the ball in play after Pavard's fizzes it into him and he puts a cross in from the byline. He's looking for Coman in the middle, but Mwepu gets across to intercept it.
31' Camara spots Berisha with some space to run into down the middle and plays a throughball towards him. It's overhit though and Neuer comes rushing off his line to collect it.
29' Kimmich floats a good cross into the box from a free-kick and it's Tolisso that gets his head to flick it on towards the near post. Coman is running onto it, but it's just out of his reach and bounces out of play.
27' The play is switched to Hernandez on the left of the box and he chips a cross to Coman. He flicks the header towards goal and Kristensen makes a good block to deny him.
25' There are some half-hearted shouts for a penalty from the Salzburg players after Szoboszlai's drilled corner hits Tolisso on the arm. It's tight by his side though and the referee waves the claim away.

22' Pavard picks up the yellow card after a late challenge on Berisha.

21' LEWANDOWSKI SCORES! He steps up to take the penalty and slots his penalty into the bottom-right corner. He sends the goalkeeper the wrong way and Bayern are level. 1-1!
21' PENALTY TO BAYERN! It's Hernandez's run into the box down the left that causes Salzburg some trouble and Mwepu makes a clumsy challenge to take him down and the referee points to the spot.
19' Bayern are keeping hold of the ball well at the moment, but they're struggling to get into Salzburg's box. Kimmich tries to square it to Muller to his right, but Wober sticks out a foot to intercept it and break up the attack.
17' GOOD SAVE! Szobozlai swings a good corner into the box and he picks out Ramalho, who has a free header in the middle. His effort is going in at the far post, but Neuer pushes it away.

12' PENALTY TO BAYERN! It's a clumsy challenge by Szoboszlai who ends up running across the Hernandez and brings him to ground. It's right in front of the referee and he points straight to the spot. VAR has had a look at it though and is asking him to go and look at the monitor...
11' OFF THE LINE! Gnabry is played into space on the right of the box and he's picked out by Muller. Stankovic rushes off his line to close him down, but the winger fires his shot on goal and Ramalho does brilliantly to block the effort.
10' Kimmich swings a good cross into the box from a free-kick and he's looking for Muller at the far post. He flicks the header on but Ramalho is just in front of him and manages to get it clear.
8' Kimmich plays a great ball over the top to pick out Lewandowski and he runs with it into the box. He drags it past Wober before firing his shot just over the crossbar, but it wouldn't have counted anyway as he was offside.
6' Salzburg are on the attack again and it's a great switch of play out to Junuzovic on the left wing. He takes a heavy first touch though which gives Pavard chance to get back and clear his lines.
M. Berisha
Goal
4' SALZBURG LEAD! Berisha is in space on the left of the box and he gets a bit lucky as Koita's shot is deflected into his path off Alaba. He takes a touch before slotting it past Neuer at his near post and into the back of the net. 1-0 Salzburg!
2' Lewandowski drops deep to win the ball back and turns to set Bayern on the attack. He dribbles past two Salzburg players to get the edge of the box but has it nicked off him when he tries to play in Muller.
1' Berisha gets the game underway for Salzburg!
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away.
Salzburg have faced the reigning Champions League champions four times previously and lost all of them - lost both of their games to Milan in 1994-95 and Liverpool in 2019-20, all in the group stage.
Hansi Flick makes five changes to the side that beat Cologne at the weekend, with Hernandez, Alaba, Tolisso, Coman and Lewandowski all coming into the starting line-up. Sarr, Martinez, Sane and Choupo-Moting drop to the bench, while Niklas Sule is ruled out after testing positive for coronavirus.
Jesse Marsch makes just one change to the team that started their last group game against Atletico Madrid as he brings in Koita. He replaces Patson Daka who misses out with an injury he picked up in that match.
