UEFA Champions League
UEFA Europa League
UEFA Conference League Qualifiers

That is all from this LaLiga fixture and 2020/21 campaign, until next time!
Spare a thought for Valladolid too, as the wild celebrations of Atletico's 11th La Liga triumph go on around them, Gonzalez's men have been relegated to the second tier of Spanish football. They needed to win here and rely on results elsewhere and with neither of those things happening, they will be playing their football in the division below next season. Atletico, who once again came from behind to win, win LaLiga by two points and Luka Modric's late winner for Real Madrid doesn't matter as Los Blancos can't catch them!
Atletico are LaLiga champions for the first time since the 2013/14 campaign! Plano’s counter-attacking opener gave Valladolid the lead in the first half before Correa levelled things up for the visitors with a prodded second-half finish. Suarez, the man of the moment against Osasuna too, then raced through to capitalise on Guardiola’s mistake and score the winner to confirm Atletico’s 2-1 win and the Spanish top-flight title.
90' + 2' There will be three minutes of added time as Atletico edge closer towards the title. Oblak comes flying out of his goal to collect a loose ball and then falls to the floor to waste a few more vital seconds.
90' OVER! El Yamiq fires a pass into Weissman, who smartly flicks into the area for Guardiola. The substitute forward snatches at the opportunity, however, and volleys over the crossbar with just Oblak to beat. Guardiola insists it has taken a touch off an Atletico defender but the referee disagrees.
89' CHANCE! Felix runs out of room as he races towards the area and offloads to Kondogbia to the left of goal. The French midfielder tries to drive a low left-footed effort towards the near post but he misses the target to the left of goal. Simeone wildly gestures for his team to get back and seems to be frustrated that Kondogbia has ventured that far forward in the first place!
Renan Lodi
Yellow Card
87' Lodi rushes up into the left-hand channel to tackle Guardiola from behind. The left-back stands on the substitute's heels, leaving the referee with no choice but to book Lodi.
86' Koke runs towards the corner as he chases a throw-in from Lodi but the midfielder nor the visitors seem to have any intention of going towards goal. Simeone and his side seem settled on defending their one-goal lead and it doesn't look like Valladolid are going to offer much down the other end either.
H. Herrera
Á. Correa
85' Another defensive-minded change sees Simeone send on Herrera in midfield for forward Correa, who equalised for the hosts with his poked finish in the second half.
84' Proceedings of this game have been slow in the last few minutes, with fouls and substitutions constantly stopping and starting the game. Atletico won't mind one bit, however, as they are just over six minutes away from winning their first LaLiga title since the 2013/14 campaign.
Yellow Card
83' Felipe comes in late from behind on Guardiola and joins team-mate Felix in the book. A needless tackle from the centre-back would have offered Valladolid a free-kick, if the referee hadn't chosen to play advantage and give the hosts a corner instead.
Pablo Hervías
S. Janko
82' Gonzalez goes attacking as he throws on Hervias for right-back Janko.
80' Valladolid have gone 11 straight games without winning in LaLiga (D6 L5), the worst ongoing winless streak of any team currently in the competition. In addition, they have lost each of their last three games in the competition, and could match their longest losing streak under Gonzalez in the top-flight (four in March 2019).
G. Kondogbia
Marcos Llorente
79' Simeone opts for more defensive protection in midfield as he sends on the energetic Kondogbia for Llorente.
João Félix
Yellow Card
78' For his reaction to San Emeterio, Felix also goes in the book and he represents the first Atletico name in there this game.
Yellow Card
78' San Emeterio gets in an altercation with Felix and becomes the fourth Valladolid player to be booked.
77' WIDE! Felix clips over the top for Suarez, who drifts into the left-hand channel and rolls towards Carrasco. The Belgian races onto the pass, taking a first-time right-footed strike which goes just wide of goal to the right. Carrasco punches the ground in frustration which suggests he feels he should be doing better from there.
76' Olaza has four or five team-mates waiting for a cross towards the back post but he decides to bring down Trippier's clearance and shoot. The left-back has no chance of beating Oblak from such a tight angle and unsurprisingly slices a left-footed shot over the crossbar.
Yellow Card
74' Michel stands on the back of Felix's heels and becomes the third name in the referee's book.
74' Valladolid have rarely ventured forward in the second half and that has been punished by this Atletico side. Simeone's men have dominated possession and have remained patient to earn a well-deserved lead here.
73' A long pass from the back releases Suarez down the right-hand channel and the forward looks to tee up Felix inside the area. Olivas does well to sprint back, recovering inside his own area to block the pass and find Masip.
72' Suarez's goal means Real Madrid's result against Villarreal is now irrelevant. Los Blancos are still a goal down but that doesn't matter as so long as Atletico can see out the next 20 minutes or so, they will be LaLiga champions again!
J. El Yamiq
Yellow Card
70' Suarez escapes the attentions of El Yamiq once more and the centre-back drags him down near the halfway line. For his cynical foul, El Yamiq joins De Sousa in the referee's book.
69' Valladolid have lost 10 of their last 11 games against Atletico in LaLiga (D1), failing to score in seven of their last eight league games against the Rojiblancos.

L. Suárez
67' GOOOOOOALLL! 2-1 ATLETICO! A wayward pass in midfield by Guardiola sets Suarez free over the halfway line. The forward makes no mistake as he speeds into the area before sliding a left-footed finish past the incoming Masip and into the bottom left corner. El Yamiq and Olivas raced back to catch Suarez but they just couldn't stop him from escaping their grasps to give the visitors the lead.
66' Felix drives his team forward as he carries the ball through the middle before offloading to Lodi. The left-back looks to cross across the face of goal but slices his left-footed pass out of play for a goal-kick.
João Félix
63' The second part of Simeone's substitutions sees Felix replace Saul.
Renan Lodi
63' Simeone's first change of the game sees him introduce Lodi for Hermoso on the left-hand side.
Toni Villa
62' As part of Gonzalez's triple change, Villa is the third man to come off and Jota takes his place.
Roque Mesa
62' At the same time as Guardiola's introduction, Gonzalez also brings off Mesa and sends on Michel.
Sergi Guardiola
Marcos André
62' De Sousa, who set-up Valladolid's opening goal, is Gonzalez's first change as he comes off for Guardiola.
61' CHANCES! Olaza drifts inside from the left flank and goes alone to power a long-range left-footed effort towards the top right corner. Oblak moves across well to parry the first effort but Weissman is there on the follow-up inside the area. The forward is completely unmarked, however, he can only head over the crossbar from close range, much to the frustration of Gonzalez on the touchline as the head coach drops to his knees.
59' With Real Madrid still down at home to Villarreal, Correa's goal only further strengthens the visitors position at the top of the table. As it stands they lead LaLiga by three points but they will want another goal here to confirm their title.
Y. Carrasco
57' The assist goes to Carrasco, who didn't do too much in the build-up for Correa's equaliser. The Belgian was crowded out on the left flank by Janko and Villa so he played to Correa, who evaded two or three of the Valladolid players before prodding a low right-footed effort into the bottom right corner.
Á. Correa
57' GOOOOOOOALL! ATLETICO LEVEL TO MAKE IT 1-1! The visitors have possession on the left-hand side and Carrasco plays inwards to Correa. The Argentine dances around two or three tackles before poking a right-footed effort from the edge of the area through the legs of El Yamiq. Masip, perhaps unsighted by his centre-backs, scrambles across but he can’t stop Correa from finding the bottom right corner and equalising for Atletico!
56' The hosts are defending deep and, as of yet, Atletico's tactic of playing out to Trippier and crossing isn't working. As the game approaches the 60th minute, will Simeone think about making some changes soon?
Marcos André
Yellow Card
55' De Sousa insists Trippier has used his elbow in an aerial duel but the referee ignores him. The forward protests too much and ends up becoming the first yellow card of the game for dissent.
54' Valladolid have barely entered their opponent's half so far and the pressure is showing. A few rushed clearances gift Simeone's men possession back but they can't make the most of it as Correa runs out of space and carries the ball out of play.
52' Another headed chance comes for the visitors and this time it is Hermoso who heads over. Trippier delivered from a free-kick on the right-hand side but the left-back couldn't keep the header down and the ball sails high over Masip's goal.
51' OVER! Koke's first set-piece of the half gets cleared back out to him and he takes a touch on the right flank before curling another cross towards the far post. Gimenez rises the highest to head towards the top right corner but the centre-back's attempt goes over the crossbar and out for a goal-kick.
50' The second-half start has been one-way traffic, with Atletico directing a lot of their play down the right-hand side. Llorente keeps finding pockets of space and he has had two efforts blocked already. His third run results in a corner on the right-hand side.
49' Atletico have won four of their last five LaLiga away games against Valladolid, with the only exception coming in their last visit to Jose Zorrilla (0-0 in October 2019). They had not won any of their previous seven such away games against them before this spell (D1 L6). Their strong away record, however, hasn't been evident so far in this match.
47' Llorente speeds around El Yamiq to make it to the byline before crossing towards Suarez. The ball takes a deflection but Suarez still gets away a header, which Janko blocks at the far post. The visitors appeal for a penalty for El Yamiq's attempted recovery tackle on Llorente but both the referee and VAR disagree.
46' Referee Martinez gets the second half underway!
Simeone will just want to focus on his side's first-half performance and not what is going on elsewhere. Atletico have lacked attacking impetus but he knows they have left it late in the past and still come back to succeed, with Osasuna being the most recent example of that. He may look to Felix or Dembele off the bench, while in contrast Gonzalez will be delighted with his team's showing so far and won't want to change much.
Valladolid know they have to win to have any chance of survival and at the minute they're doing just that as they wander down the tunnel 1-0 up at half-time. Plano's counter-attacking opener gave his team the lead but Elche's current winning position means the hosts would still go down. In contrast, Real Madrid are losing to Villarreal currently which means Simeone's men would still win LaLiga without winning here.
45' + 1' OVER! Suarez attempts to release Carrasco to the left of goal before a block results in a loose ball in midfield. Koke recycles possession, teeing up Llorente, who from 25 yards out blasts a right-footed strike over the target on the stroke of half-time.
45' Trippier chests down a long diagonal pass, racing forward to cross towards the far post. The right-back gets his final cross in all wrong though as he overhits it high over the heads of his team-mates and into the stands behind Masip's goal.
43' Villa throws himself to the floor after a tackle from Koke on the right-hand side. Simeone gestures that the midfielder has dived and so do his players, while Villa rolls around on the floor. The referee slowly makes his way over before deciding to give a free-kick to the away side for Villa's subsequent handball when he was appealing for a foul.
42' Valladolid aren't just sitting back and defending their one-goal lead. Gonzalez's men are pressing high up the pitch and trying to force mistakes from Atletico's back four. For now, however, Oblak and his team-mates in front of him look comfortable and confident as they retain possession in defence.
40' A prolonged spell of possession for the visitors results in both Carrasco and Llorente attempting crosses. With just five minutes before half-time, El Yamiq and Olivas stand firm to head away repeated clearances and keep Suarez from getting any shots away towards Masip's goal.
38' CHANCE! Olaza has acres of space on the left-hand side and arrows a cross towards the penalty spot. Weissman gets in between Felipe and Gimenez but he can only direct a header into the hands of Oblak. The goalkeeper has to move a little bit to make the save, however, Weissman may feel he should have scored from that sort of position.
36' No player has earned his side more points with his goals than Suarez in LaLiga this season (19 points with 20 goals, level with Youssef En-Nesyri for Sevilla, 19 points with 18 goals).
34' OVER! Another Koke corner creates another chance for the visitors. This time from the left-hand side, his right-footed cross finds Felipe, who can only head over the crossbar from close range. The centre-back did well to escape the attentions of Olivas there and he may feel he should done better with the headed effort itself.
33' WIDE! Carrasco goes down on the left flank but Saul keeps possession going as he clips over to Suarez on the right of goal. The forward cuts inside to shoot with his left foot and sends a curling effort just wide of goal to the right. The referee seems to think there was a deflection in there and gives a corner, much to the annoyance of Masip in goal.
32' At the other end of the table, Elche are winning at home. Despite Valladolid leading against first-placed Atletico, that result would mean they're relegated from the LaLiga if things stay as they area.
31' Mesa's free-kick comes to nothing but Villa does well to keep the chance alive as he spins past Hermoso in the right-hand corner. The opportunity fades away, however, as two Valladolid plays are caught offside inside the area.
30' Plano, who gave his team the lead, powers past Koke before the midfielder bundles him over. The home side get a free-kick wide on the right-hand side and, for now, Koke escapes a booking.
29' Consecutive corners come for Valladolid and Olaza delivers the second one after a poor cross from Mesa's first. The left-back, much like the previous set-piece taker, produces a poor cross which sails over the head of all his team-mates and goes out for a goal-kick.
28' SAVE! Koke takes the resulting set-piece, delivering an outswinging cross from the right-hand side towards the penalty spot. Gimenez meets the corner, heading towards the centre of goal, where Masip saves and holds onto the ball without feeling the need to parry and offer a follow-up opportunity.
27' CLOSE! Trippier goes wandering down the right-hand channel, taking on Olaza before whipping in a right-footed cross which El Yamiq looks to clear. The centre-back gets his headed clearance wrong, however, and nearly heads past his own goalkeeper into the top right corner. Fortunately for the hosts, the chance goes just wide of goal and out for a corner.
26' Mesa delivers a bizarre corner from the right-hand side, attempting to find Olaza, who from 35 yards out miscues a left-footed volley well wide of goal to the left.
25' De Sousa spins one way and then the other, holding up possession excellently before releasing Janko. The right-back sprints into the area before his cross gets turned behind for Valladolid's second corner of the game.
23' As things stand, Plano's opener won't cost Atletico the title as Real Madrid are also a goal down at home to Villarreal. Whether Simeone's staff know that or not is another matter as the visitors try and fail from another set-piece on the left-hand side.
22' CHANCE! Suarez nips in first and pokes through for Saul, who makes it to the left of goal before sliding a left-footed pass towards the far post. Masip is out of position and Correa looks to have an open goal if he can get the ball, but San Emeterio throws himself in the way to turn behind for a corner.
20' Gonzalez has managed more LaLiga games without a win against Simeone in LaLiga (D2 L6) than against any other manager in his managerial career. Plano's opener has put the hosts on course to end Gonzalez's poor record against his opposite man.
Marcos André
18' Atletico's corner is their own downfall as Valladolid hit them on the counter-attack. Villa touches deftly inside for De Sousa, who plays a throughball through the middle for Plano. The midfielder sprints through on goal before calmly slotting a right-footed strike into the bottom right corner to put the hosts ahead.
Óscar Plano
18' GOOOOOOALLLL! 1-0 VALLADOLID! The home side break from Atletico’s corner and hit their opponents on the counter-attack to open the scoring. A smart touch inside by San Emeterio finds De Sousa who releases Plano over the halfway line. Plano drives forward, going one-on-one with Oblak before placing a low, right-footed effort into the bottom right corner past the incoming goalkeeper.
17' Olaza dinks a long pass over the Atletico defence for Weissman's forward run. Oblak, however, reads the left-back's intentions and is quick off his line to intervene before Weissman can even get the chance to shoot.
16' A first corner for the hosts comes as Trippier tackles behind in the left-hand corner. Plano delivers an inswinging cross and Hermoso climbs the highest to head away with ease.
14' Carrasco latches onto a Llorente pass over the top and runs inwards from the left flank. The Belgian has the beating of Janko once more but his choice to come inside means he gets ushered away from goal before Correa is caught offside for the away side.
13' Suarez ghosts into the area and gets his head on a Trippier cross from the right-hand side. The Atletico forward looks to redirect the cross towards the bottom right corner, however, El Yamiq gets in the way to protect Masip's goal.
12' Carrasco gets isolated one-on-one with Janko and beats the right-back, thinking he has won a corner for his side. The referee sees it differently and awards a goal-kick to the hosts, much to the Belgian forward's frustration.
11' SAVE! Villa goes on a solo run, dancing in from the left-hand channel to reach the centre of the pitch about 25 yards from goal. A couple more drops of the shoulder and Villa finally drives a low right-footed strike towards the bottom left corner, where Oblak gets across well to save and hold onto the ball.
10' Atletico have won just one of their last six LaLiga away games (D3 L2), a 1-0 victory against Elche on matchday 34, this after having won nine of their previous 11 away matches in the competition beforehand (D1 L1).
9' Suarez finds a pocket of space through the middle and slides out to Carrasco to the left of goal. The Belgian has the opportunity to shoot, however, he hesitates too much and Janko manages to recover and crowd the forward out.
8' Suarez and Correa attempt to combine with a one-two near the halfway line but Mesa comes racing cross to fly into a tackle and dispossess the forward. The loose ball cannons towards the left-hand side and Oblak regains possession as the visitors look to build from the back.
6' El Yamiq finds himself just inside the right flank and he twists and turns to unleash a left-footed strike. A wall of Atletico shirts block the centre-back's effort in front of Oblak's goal so the goalkeeper isn't required to make a save.
5' Llorente seems to have won possession back but Mesa rolls around and the referee gives a free-kick to the home side. Much like Trippier's set-piece, Olaza looks like he too will send a cross into the area from the deep set-piece scenario.
4' The set-piece situation looks promising, with Gimenez heading down Trippier's free-kick. The assistant on the far side has his flag up for offside against the centre-back, however, so the chance to attack goes away.
3' Correa spins in midfield and gets fouled by San Emeterio. The visitors have a free-kick just inside the Valladolid half and it looks like Trippier is going to deliver towards the area.
2' Suarez is released early by Correa but El Yamiq recovers to block in front of Masip's goal. The centre-back does himself some damage in the block and the hosts' medical team are required to come on and tend to El Yamiq, who returns to the pitch within the same minute.
1' Referee Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez gets the game underway!
Atletico could claim their 11th LaLiga title, and their second under Simeone (after 2013/14). The Argentine could become the third coach to win two titles in the competition for the club, after Ricardo Zamora (1939/40 and 1940/41) and Helenio Herrera (1949/50 and 1950/51).
Simeone makes just the one alteration to his last line-up. Stefan Savic, whose yellow card against Osasuna meant he was suspended for this game, makes way and Gimenez starts at the back as he partners Felipe. Apart from that, it is unchanged for the visitors, whose front three consists of Carrasco.
Gonzalez opts for eight changes for the last game of the season. Masip, Olaza and Plano are the only three to remain in the starting-11. Olivas, Janko and El Yamiq join Olaza at the back. Mesa, Villa and San Emeterio are the three changes in midfield, while Weissman and de Sousa partner up top in the absence of the injured Kenan Kodro and Jota, who drops to the bench.

Atletico are top of LaLiga, two points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid as they head into the final round of Spanish top-flight fixtures. The equation is straightforward for the hosts: beat Valladolid and they will be champions regardless of Madrid’s result. Late heroics kept Diego Simeone’s men top last time out, with Renan Lodi’s 82nd-minute equaliser preceding Luis Suarez’s 88th-minute winner against Osasuna.
Valladolid are 19th in LaLiga, two points away from 17th-placed Huesca and safety. The hosts haven’t won in the league since the start of March and most recently went down 4-1 to Real Sociedad last Sunday. Sergio Gonzalez’s side have to win to have any chance of staying up, however, they’re also reliant on the results in the games involving 18th-placed Elche and Huesca.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the LaLiga fixture between Real Valladolid and Atletico Madrid.
