Commentary

That is all for today's live coverage. Thanks for joining!
Leipzig, who have now drawn five of their last seven Bundesliga matches, are three points better off than Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen in fourth and fifth respectively. Nagelsmann's side still have work to do if they are to finish in the top four, then, with a trip to Hoffenheim up next. As for Paderborn, they are eight points adrift at the bottom ahead of next week's clash with fellow strugglers Werder Bremen.
Ten-man Leipzig are made to pay for Upamecano's red card as they are held to a 1-1 draw by bottom side Paderborn. Schick put Nagelsmann's side ahead with a 27th-minute strike, but Upamecano was shown a second yellow card for dissent before half-time and that proved costly, with Strohdiek converting from close range in added time to snatch his side a point.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: RB LEIPZIG 1-1 PADERBORN
90' + 3' Paderborn still have time to score a second and pull off the unlikeliest of victories. Leipzig have sat back a little too much in this second period and have been made to pay.
C. Strohdiek
Goal
Paderborn
90' + 2' GOOOOAAAAALLL!!!!! LEIPZIG 1-1 PADERBORN!!! Ritter's shot is parried by Gulacsi and Strohdiek is there to convert the rebound. The division's bottom side have surely snatched a point from Leipzig, ending their opponents' slim title hopes in the process.
90' It is backs to the wall stuff from Leipzig now as they look to see out the four minutes of added time. It has not been pretty at times, but they are very nearly over the line.
89' ANOTHER CHANCE FOR WERNER! Angelino slips in Werner but the in-form striker is unable to find the target from a slight angle with only Zingerle to beat. It grazes the bar on its way over.
W. Orbán
K. Kampl
RB Leipzig
88' Nagelsmann makes his final change of the contest by bringing on Orban for Kampl.
88' PENALTY APPEAL! Evans swings in a cross towards the back post, where Antwi-Adjei is waiting. The midfielder is unable to get a clean shot away under pressure from Adams, who was perhaps a little too up close and personal. The referee waves away the penalty appeals and there is no VAR check.
86' SIDE-NETTING! Antwi-Adjei has a tiny gap to aim for at Gulacsi's near post and he is unable to find it, instead picking out the side-netting with the scuffed shot.
A. Evans
L. Jans
Paderborn
85' Evans is on for Jans in the fourth of Paderborn's changes.
B. Zolinski
D. Srbeny
Paderborn
85' Srbeny makes way for Zolinski with around five minutes to go.
83' Mukiele slides in to dispossess Michel and the final touch comes off the Leipzig substitute.
82' With Leipzig stuck inside their own half, Michel stupidly pulls back on his opponent to give away a free-kick. Nagelsmann's men are very nearly over the line for a 17th league win of the season.
80' Only Werder Bremen have scored fewer goals than Paderborn in the Bundesliga this season, and it is clear why on the basis of today's performance. The visitors just cannot create a chance of any note.
78' Paderborn are running out of time - not only in terms of today's game, but also in terms of their survival chances. The visitors have edged possession in the second half, yet they have only managed a single attempt on target.
M. Ritter
K. Gjasula
Paderborn
76' Ritter is on for the booked Gjasula in Paderborn's latest change.
A. Sabiri
K. Pröger
Paderborn
76' Sabiri, who has three Bundesliga goals this season, comes on for Proger.
75' Proger gets away from his man down the right, but Angelino recovers to cut out the attempted cross. From the resulting corner, the ball loops into the air and Michel barges into Halstenberg to concede a free-kick.
74' Leipzig have stepped off again. Just as Paderborn get players forward, Jans horribly overhits a cross straight out of play.
73' The match is finely poised with a little over 15 minutes to go. Werner uses his pace to chase down his own pass down the left-hand flank, but play is brought back for a foul.
71' OVER! Antwi-Adjei times his run perfectly to get on the end of Gjasula's pass. Mukiele is unable to get across to him, but the Paderborn midfielder's powerful shot is off target. That is as close as the visitors have come.
70' Despite being down to 10 men, and focusing largely on defending in the second half, Leipzig have looked the more likely to score the game's second goal. Collins' left-sided cross is easily gathered by Gulacsi.
68' WERNER MISSES A SITTER! Werner does the hard work by chasing down a sloppy back-pass and racing through on goal. Zingerle is left stranded and it looks like being a simple finish for the Leipzig striker, but he steers his shot wide.
66' Paderborn have only taken 19 points from 29 games this Bundesliga season. None of the 18 teams who had a maximum of 19 points after 29 Bundesliga matchdays have managed to stay up.
K. Laimer
Dani Olmo
RB Leipzig
65' A third change for 10-man Leipzig now as Olmo makes way for Laimer.
S. Michel
S. Mamba
Paderborn
63' Mamba is off and Michel on in his place as Baumgart changes things around.
C. Strohdiek
Yellow Card
Paderborn
63' Strohdiek is cautioned by referee Deniz Aytekin for pulling back on Werner's shirt.
61' SAVE! Leipzig win a corner and it eventually drops to Olmo on the edge of the box. He takes a touch to set himself and then drives a low shot on target, which Zingerle does well to keep out.
60' Leipzig are dealing with everything that Paderborn are throwing at them which, admittedly, is not that much. Olmo plays a smart pass to instigate a counter, but Strohdiek cuts out the ball before Werner can get to it.
A. Haidara
C. Nkunku
RB Leipzig
58' Nkunku is replaced by Haidara in the second of Leipzig's changes.
57' Paderborn are bossing possession, but Leipzig boss Nagelsmann will not be all that concerned as the visitors are creating next to nothing. Collins' latest cross from the left is badly overhit.
56' Mukiele goes right through Srbeny and Paderborn have an opportunity to cross the ball into the box from the free-kick. Proger gets plenty of whip behind it and Gulacsi has to get down to push the ball aside.
54' Werner leads the Leipzig counter and does very well to hold the ball up. Olmo eventually joins him but the attack fizzles out.
53' Collins' pass finds its way to Mamba but the Paderborn striker loses his bearings and cannot get a clean shot away.
52' It is one-way traffic at Red Bull Arena, with Leipzig camped deep inside their own half. Remember, Paderborn have never so much as earned a draw against today's opponents in four previous meetings.
50' The ball goes out of play off Adams for a corner. The set-piece is swung in from the left and Gulacsi races off his line to slap it clear. Another corner is won and cleared as far as Vasiliadis, whose curled shot is blocked.
48' Adams appears to be playing at right wing-back, with Angelino on the other flank, as Leipzig go with a 5-3-1 of sorts. The hosts are sitting very deep inside their own half at the start of the second period.
46' RESTART! Ten-man Leipzig, who will move up to second place if they hold to their victory, get us back up and running.
M. Halstenberg
P. Schick
RB Leipzig
46' Leipzig goalscorer Schick is sacrificed for Halstenberg, who will slot into defence.
Nagelsmann opted against making a substitution following Upamecano's dismissal, though that may well change at half-time, with Halstenberg one possible option for the hosts to plug the gap at the back. As for Paderborn, they need goals and could therefore turn to Sabiri.
Leipzig take a 1-0 lead into half-time thanks to Schick's strike shortly before the half-hour mark, assisted by strike partner Werner. However, a red card shown to Upamecano two minutes before the interval for two bookable offences means that basement boys Paderborn are still right in the contest.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: RB LEIPZIG 1-0 PADERBORN
45' One minute has been added on at the end of the first half at Red Bull Arena.
44' The visitors have been visibly boosted by Upamecano's red card. They get bodies forward and Vasiliadis tries his luck, but the attempt is well off target.
S. Mamba
Yellow Card
Paderborn
43' Mamba is the latest player to enter the referee's book for his mistimed challenge.
43' LEIPZIG DOWN TO 10! Now then! Upamecano, booked for a foul on Srbeny earlier in the game, is shown a second yellow card for dissent. Unhappy with a decision that went against him, the centre-back booted the ball away and must now make his way down the tunnel.
41' Paderborn are enjoying the occasional spell in possession high up the pitch. However, they have only managed one effort on target so far.
40' Antwi-Adjei gets the better of Mukiele, but the Leipzig defender sticks out a leg to knock the ball out of play for a corner. The Paderborn set-piece disappointingly comes to little.
38' Nagelsmann's men are having to remain patient in their pursuit of a second goal. Paderborn are desperate to play out from the back again, but some high pressing from the hosts forces them to launch it forward.
36' Werner has had 23 touches of the ball so far and created three chances, including the assist for Schick's opener. Leipzig have not quite got out of second gear but they are doing enough to keep hold of their lead.
34' Schick drifts to the right but cannot link up with strike partner Werner. Olmo then catches Antwi-Adjei on the boot and is perhaps fortunate to only get a quick talking to from the referee.
32' Leipzig are looking a lot more confident after opening the scoring through Schick's 10th Bundesliga goal of the campaign. Paderborn kept Dortmund at bay for nearly an hour last week, remember, before going on to concede six times.
30' Antwi-Adjei holds the ball up on the edge of the box. Rather than go for the shot, he plays it to Proger to his right and the wayward attempt is watched all the way by Gulacsi.
U. Hünemeier
Yellow Card
Paderborn
28' Hunemeier fouls Olmo and joins Upamecano and team-mate Gjasula in being shown a yellow card.
T. Werner
Assist
RB Leipzig
27' Werner once again shows that there is more to his game than simply scoring goals. He could have gone it alone but instead picked out Schick to round off a well-worked attack.
P. Schick
Goal
RB Leipzig
27' GOOOOOAAAAALLLL!!!! LEIPZIG 1-0 PADERBORN!!! Werner carries the ball into the box and squares it to Schick, who sends a first-time shot spinning away from Zingerle into the bottom-right corner. The goal is allowed to stand following a VAR check for a possible offside.
26' Paderborn midfielder Gjasula puts his laces through the ball and sends a 25-yarder spinning well wide.
25' The home team are still struggling to create much of anything in the final third. In fact, it is bottom side Paderborn who have looked the livelier over the last five minutes, without being able to test Gulacsi.
24' Leipzig press high up the pitch but Paderborn are able to play out from the back. The ball is flicked in behind for Srbeny, but he is marginally offside.
23' RB Leipzig are still unbeaten against promoted sides in the Bundesliga, winning 13 of their 15 clashes. They have won each of their last eight such games - a longer ongoing run than any other current Bundesliga team.
K. Gjasula
Yellow Card
Paderborn
21' Gjasula enters the referee's book for catching Mukiele a little late on the foot. That is his 16th yellow card in the Bundesliga this term, equalling the record.
20' That was the first time Werner has been able to really get at the Paderborn defence. Leipzig have just started to step things up in the last few minutes.
19' WERNER GOES CLOSE! Werner races into the box and cuts inside from the left. He has plenty of the goal to aim for, but Hunemeier makes a vital block to prevent a certain goal.
17' Proger whips in the free-kick but it is easily dealt with by Leipzig. Baumgart's side have given a good account of themselves in the opening 17 minutes.
D. Upamecano
Yellow Card
RB Leipzig
16' Upamecano gets plenty of Srbeny and none of the ball, leading to the first yellow card of the contest.
14' Leipzig have not really managed to find their rhythm yet. They have had more of the ball - 64-per-cent possession to Paderborn's 36 - but have only created one shooting opportunity so far.
12' A mix-up at the back between Klostermann and Upamecano allows Srbeny to get a shot away from 25 yards. The effort is rather weak and Gulacsi barely has to break stride to make the save.
10' SHOT! Werner feeds the ball to Nkunku and he cuts inside from the left. Space opens up for the midfielder to shoot and he does exactly that, but Zingerle is able to push it to safety.
9' Kampl is penalised for a handball infringement before he can lift the ball over Paderborn's defence. It has been a pretty open start to the contest so far, with the visitors not exactly sitting back - they need the points.
7' A cross goes behind off Angelino and Paderborn have the game's first corner, which is successfully defended. Up the other end, Schick tries wriggling free but is unable to do so.
5' The ball is played long towards Werner down the middle, but it has a little too much on it and Zingerle can collect.
4' EARLY SAVE! The ball is flicked into the path of Olmo and he looks up to find an unmarked Werner. The striker's shot takes a deflection on its way through to Zingerle, who has a routine stop to make down the middle.
2' Werner, who reportedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea this week, is already heavily involved in Leipzig's build-up play. The ball is worked down the right but the cross does not arrive.
1' KICK-OFF! Paderborn, in desperate need of three points to keep their slim survival hopes alive, get us underway!
The teams are coming out onto the pitch at Red Bull Arena, with kick-off just moments away. This game will be played without any supporters present, as will every other Bundesliga game for the foreseeable future.
RB Leipzig have won their first four competitive meetings with Paderborn and could win their first five in a row against a single side for the first time in their professional history. Only against Bayern Munich have Paderborn endured a worse run, losing their first six games against the Bundesliga heavyweights.
Paderborn boss Baumgart has made three changes following the 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Dortmund six days ago. Gjasula returns from suspension to partner Vasiliadis in holding midfield, while Proger and Jans are also recalled. Drager, Sebastian Schonlau and Gerrit Holtmann all make way, with the latter two failing to recover from minor injuries.
Nagelsmann has made a couple of changes to Leipzig's starting line-up on the back of their victory over Cologne on Monday. Those two alterations come in central midfield as Adams and Kampl replace Laimer and Marcel Sabitzer, with the latter missing out on squad inclusion entirely because of a muscle injury.
Subs: Antony Evans, Marlon Ritter, Jannik Huth, Sven Michel, Dennis Jastrzembski, Mohamed Drager, Abdelhamid Sabiri, Ben Zolinski, Jan-Luca Rumpf.
PADERBORN XI (4-2-3-1): Leopold Zingerle; Laurent Jans, Christian Strohdiek (c), Uwe Hunemeier, Jamilu Collins; Klaus Gjasula, Sebastian Vasiliadis; Kai Proger, Dennis Srbeny, Christopher Antwi-Adjei; Streli Mamba.
Subs: Konrad Laimer, Hannes Wolf, Yvon Mvogo, Emil Forsberg, Marcel Halstenberg, Ademola Lookman, Amadou Haidara, Ibrahima Konate, Willi Orban.
LEIPZIG XI (4-4-2): Peter Gulacsi (c); Nordi Mukiele, Lukas Klostermann, Dayot Upamecano, Angelino; Dani Olmo, Tyler Adams, Kevin Kampl, Christopher Nkunku; Timo Werner, Patrik Schick.
In complete contrast to their opponents, Paderborn are without a win in 10 Bundesliga games and have won just four times all season. Steffen Baumgart's side lost 6-1 at home to Borussia Dortmund last weekend and are eight points adrift of the relegation play-off spot.
Third-place Leipzig are unbeaten in their last 10 league matches, but they have drawn six of those and trail leaders Bayern Munich by nine points with five games to go. Julian Nagelsmann's men did return to form last time out, however, thanks to a comfortable 4-2 win over Cologne.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Bundesliga clash between RB Leipzig and Paderborn at Red Bull Arena.
