Stanciu put the game beyond nine-man Rangers and sealed the tie for the Red and Whites with a superb free-kick 24 minutes from time.

73' A SECOND RED CARD! Balogun takes a heavy touch on the edge of his own box, allowing Masopust to steal possession. The central defender lunges in to try and make amends, catches the Czech midfielder, and the referee shows Balogun a second yellow card. Rangers are down to nine men.
71' Rangers have won each of their three previous home matches against Czech opposition in European competition, most recently against Viktoria Zizkov in the UEFA Cup in October 2002.
70' LAST DITCH! Stanciu lofts a well-weighted throughball in behind the Rangers defence, and Patterson times his sliding tackle to perfection to deny Bah going through one-on-one with McGregor.
69' Balogun pushes Kuchta to the ground down the left flank, and Slavia have a free-kick in a dangerous position. Provod’s delivery finds Kuchta, although the forward was offside.
67' NOT FAR AWAY! Aribo sets Patterson away down the right-hand side, and the full-back cuts inside and drives into the box. After setting himself, Patterson fires a right-footed shot over the bar.

Rangers
55' Just 10 minutes into the second half, Gerrard opts to make a change. Roofe replaces Arfield.
54' There will be a brief stoppage in play as both Barisic and Dorley are down and in need of treatment along the far side after a coming together.
52' Dorley and Bah quickly get into position down the right to double-up on Kent, and the English winger concedes a free-kick for catching Bah’s heels.
50' Patterson looked for a quick give-and-go with Aribo midway inside the visitors’ half, although Provod nipped in to regain possession for Slavia before being fouled by Rangers’ Scottish full-back.
48' Rangers have started the second half on the front foot and are patiently knocking the ball around as they look to work an opening.
46' We are back underway! The referee, Grinfeld, blows his whistle and Rangers get the second half kicked off.
Gerrard will not be happy with his team's first-half performance, and will be looking for a response after the break. Kent has looked the most likely to make something happen for the home side, although Slavia Prague have been quick to press him whenever he has received the ball. Trpisovsky, on the other hand, will be delighted by what the Reds and Whites offered in the first half. Stanciu continually picked up pockets of space, while Olayinka and Sima have caused problems with their pace.
After an evenly-matched opening half, Slavia Prague take a one-goal lead in at half-time. The Red and Whites did not take long to find their feet at Ibrox, and broke the deadlock after 14 minutes through Olayinka. The forward latched onto Boril’s near-post cross and powered a header beyond McGregor. Gerrard’s side created a couple of decent chances to draw level, but Kolar was alert to keep out Kent before Morelos fired wide on the brink of half-time.
45' + 3' HALF TIME: RANGERS 0-1 SLAVIA PRAGUE (1-2 ON AGGREGATE)
45' + 1' PENALTY!? Sima skips beyond Balogun down the right-hand side of the field and drives into the box. The winger goes to ground under pressure from the Rangers defender and appeals for a penalty. The referee waves away the protests, and VAR confirms the decision to not award a spot-kick.
45' There will be two minutes of added time at the end of the first half.
43' JUST WIDE! After some patient link-up play, the ball falls to Morelos a few yards outside the visitors’ box. The Colombian opens up his body and fires a well-struck shot towards the near post. Kolar was scrambling, but the effort went inches wide.
42' As things stand, Rangers will be going out of the Europa League if this scoreline stays the same. Should they find an equalising goal at Ibrox, the tie will go to extra-time.
40' Following that clash, Bah required some treatment. He is now back on his feet and able to continue.
G. Kamara
Yellow Card
Rangers
38' Kamara wins a loose ball in the centre of the park before following through and clattering into Bah. The midfielder is shown a yellow card, although there was very little that he could have done to avoid a collision.
36' From the resulting set-piece, Barisic’s delivery is once again gathered by Kolar. Gerrard will want more from his side from those dead-ball situations.
O. Dorley
Yellow Card
Slavia Praha
35' The Gers launch a quick counter through Kent, who looks to run at Kudela. In seeking to cover, Dorley catches the winger’s heels and picks up a yellow card. He can have no complaints with that decision.
34' Stanciu tries his luck from range and his ambitious strikes sails over the top of McGregor’s goal.
32' WIDE! Following a throw-in from the left flank, Morelos picks out Kamara, and he finds Davis on the edge of the box. The Northern Irish midfielder unleashes a first-time effort, but it sails well wide to the right of Kolar’s goal.
31' Goldson spots Morelos’ run in behind, although Boril reads the situation and cuts out the long-range pass midway inside his own half.
29' Patterson drives down the right-hand side of the field and wins a corner off Olayinka. Barisic’s in-swinging set-piece is easily gathered by Kolar.
28' Following that opening goal, Olayinka has registered a goal involvement in each of his last three Europa League games (1 goal, 2 assists) and has been involved in five goals in his last nine European appearances.
26' Kent continues to be the brightest spark for Rangers. This time he is upended by Stanciu down the left flank.
24' Kent shows quick feet to skip away from several Slavia players before being brought down by Kudela. Barisic swings the resulting free-kick into the area, and Goldson is adjudged to have impeded Kolar.
22' Goldson launches a long, searching pass down the left for Kent. Kudela is alert to the threat and gets across to nod it out for a throw-in.
20' OPENING! Barsic breaks down the left and lofts a cross into the centre of the box, which Morelos heads over the bar.
L. Balogun
Yellow Card
Rangers
18' Balogun cynically brings down Provod along the far side with a late challenge and the Rangers defender is shown the first yellow card of the match.
16' GOOD EFFORT! The Gers go close to an immediate equaliser, as Kolar is called into action to keep out Kent’s well-struck effort from range. It looked destined for the bottom-left corner.
J. Bořil
Assist
Slavia Praha
14' The Red and Whites have caused problems down the flanks in the opening minutes, and they have now made Rangers pay. Boril’s delivery into the near post was perfectly weighted, Olayinka demonstrated his pace to reach the delivery first and find the net.
P. Olayinka
Goal
Slavia Praha
14' GOOOOAAALL! Slavia take the lead! The play gets switched over to the left, allowing Boril to open up his body and whip an inviting cross into the box. Olayinka gets across his man and heads the ball beyond McGregor and into the bottom-left corner. 1-0.
13' Sima is a little too eager to get the ball from Balogun and fouls the Rangers defender. Free-kick to the hosts in their own half.
11' The hosts do well to play their way out of their own half, and Morelos uses his strength to win a free-kick from Deli on the halfway line.
9' Dorley steers a lofted pass into Sima, who sends a tame header straight at McGregor.
9' Patterson nods a lofted pass behind for a corner, which Stanciu goes across to take. The Romanian’s delivery towards the back post is overhit and runs out for a goal-kick.
7' Patterson finds a yard of space and fires a low cross into the box. Deli is aware of Morelos’ presence and comes across to deal with the threat.
5' Arfield is brought down by Boril, and Rangers have a free-kick down the right flank. Davies’ in-swinging delivery is headed clear by Deli.
3' Stanciu drives down the left-hand side of the box and sends a low cross into the middle, which Balogun somehow lifts over his own bar from just a few yards out. The resulting corner is nodded to safety.
2' The Gers have started very well in the opening exchanges. Barisic slides the ball down the left flank for Kent, who cuts inside and sends a cross into the box. The delivery is dealt with, but Rangers are showing their intent.
1' Kick-off! The referee, Orel Grinfeld, blows his whistle and Slavia Prague get the first half underway.
The teams are out, and kick-off will soon be upon us here at Ibrox Stadium.
In the UEFA Cup/Europa League, Rangers have progressed from seven of their last eight knockout ties when avoiding defeat in the first leg. They were, however, eliminated by PSV in the round of 16 in 2010-11 despite drawing away from home in the first leg.
After Gerrard's side drew the first leg, the Gers extended their unbeaten run in this season's Europa League to nine matches. Regarding their home form, the newly-crowned Scottish Premiership champions have lost just once in their previous 23 home matches in Europe, with that defeat coming at this stage of the competition against Bayer Leverkusen last season. The visitors, on the other hand, have not suffered defeat in their last 18 games in all competitions. However, on the road in this tournament, Jindrich Trpisovsky’s team have conceeded eight goals in four matches.
Steven Gerrard makes two changes from the Rangers side that started the first leg. Balogun replaces Helander in defence, while Aribo also makes way for Arfield. The visitors, on the other hand, make three alterations for this clash. Bah, Olayinka and Dorley come in to start ahead of Masopust, Mick van Buren and Tecl.
