Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
United have momentum ahead of their crucial showdown against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium. PSG are next in action in Ligue 1 next Tuesday against Dijon.
Manchester United produce one of the finest Champions League performances in history to overturn a two-goal deficit against Paris Saint-Germain to advance to the quarter-finals of the competition. Given the absences of key players, United were well and truly underdogs for the contest. However, they showed their character with a brilliant effort this evening to score three times in the Parc des Princes to win on away goals. Romelu Lukaku got the ball rolling in the second minute when he capitalised on a mistake from Thilo Kehrer and rounded Gianluigi Buffon to put the visitors ahead. Juan Bernat seemingly put the tie out of their hands when he converted at the back post. However, Lukaku gave his team hope once again when he pounced on a mistake by Buffon to notch his second of game. The second half was a tepid affair as PSG struggled to kill the game off. They paid for their lack of clinical edge when Diogo Dalot's strike hit the arm of Presnel Kimpembe. After a video review a penalty was given and Marcus Rashford held his nerve from 12 yards to fire into the top corner. His strike was enough to send United through to the last eight, while it's an all-too familiar collapse from the French champions in Europe's elite competition.

No club has ever progressed to the next round of the Champions League after losing the first leg of a knockout match at home by two or more goals (34 previous cases).
United are without several first-team players, leaving their bench barren this evening. Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Alexis Sanchez are all injured. Pogba is suspended after being dismissed for two bookable offences in the first leg. Solskjaer makes two changes to his team that beat Southampton in the Premier League last time out. Fred and Bailly come into the side, as United play with a back three and a five-man midfield. Rashford and Lukaku lead the line.
PSG defeated Caen at the weekend and have made six changes to their team from their victory. Buffon retakes his place between the sticks from Areola. Meunier and Kurzawa drop to the bench as Thiago Silva and Juan Bernat come into the side. Kimpembe is also recalled to the team in the heart of the defence, while Kehrer switches to right-back. United have a lot of work to do to get back into the tie after their 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford. They were outplayed by the French champions from start-to-finish. It was a humbling experience given the impressive run of form that the club have enjoyed under the tenure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian has a massive challenge on his hands given that he's down to the bare bones of his squad due to a spate of injuries and Paul Pogba's suspension.
PSG hold a commanding two-goal lead heading into the clash thanks to goals from Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe. As a result, United need to score twice to get back into the game. Thomas Tuchel's men have been on an imperious run of form of late, winning their last eight matches on the bounce. However, they will not be complacent despite their advantage given their past history of failure in the Champions League - none more so than their defeat to Barcelona in 2017.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the second leg of the round-of-16 Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United at the Parc des Princes.
