The Canaries had decent chances to earn a share of the spoils, but David de Gea was in inspired form to deny Ozan Kabak twice. They will face a test of their resolve after the break as United should come out witha. point to prove.

Norwich have lost eight of their last 10 Premier League meetings with Man Utd (W2), including the last three in a row. It’s the fourth time they’ve lost three consecutive Premier League games against Man Utd, but they’ve never lost four in a row against them in the competition.
Rangnick has reverted back to the side that defeated Crystal Palace after resting them during the week. Ronaldo is expected to lead the line once more supported by Sancho, Fernandes and Rashford. Dalot continues at full-back in the absence of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while Telles holds down the left ahead of Shaw.
Smith has made five changes to his side that was beaten 3-0 by Tottenham last time out. Kabak, Sargent, Rupp, Placheta and Giannoulis all come into the fold for the Canaries. Ben Gibson and Andrew Omobamidele miss out on a place in the squad, while Brandon Williams is ineligible against his parent club. Lees-Melou and Idah both drop to the bench this evening.
MANCHESTER UNITED SUBS: Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Mason Greenwood, Jesse Lingard, Tom Heaton, Luke Shaw, Dean Henderson, Donny van de Beek, Anthony Elanga.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Alex Telles; Scott McTominay, Fred; Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford; Cristiano Ronaldo.
NORWICH CITY SUBS: Sam Byram, Kieran Dowell, Todd Cantwell, Jacob Lungi Sorensen, Pierre Lees-Melou, Bali Mumba, Angus Gunn, Adam Idah, Jonathan Tomkinson.
NORWICH CITY (3-5-2): Tim Krul; Ozan Kabak, Grant Hanley, Dimitrios Giannoulis; Max Aarons, Lukas Rupp, Billy Gilmour, Kenny McLean, Przemyslaw Placheta; Teemu Pukki, Josh Sargent.
Ralf Rangnick had a winning start to life in the United dugout by beating Crystal Palace in his first match in charge. The German altered his line-up during the week in the Champions League and will have been satisfied with a 1-1 draw against Young Boys given the age of his starters. However, he now must turn the attention back to the Premier League and a competitive race for the top four. The Red Devils cannot afford to drop further points and the pressure will be on tonight for another victory.
Norwich are bottom of the Premier League entering the contest, but are only three points adrift of safety. Dean Smith endured his first defeat as manager of the Canaries, suffering a 3-0 loss at the hands of Tottenham last time out. Norwich had built a semblance of momentum with a four-match unbeaten run before their loss to Spurs. Smith need to find that spirit again to keep his side in the survival hunt, although it will be a tough ask against a reinvigorated United.
