That's all for now. Thank you for following live coverage of this Premier League clash!
United will now be looking to build on this resut when they face a diffcult trip to face Sheffield United after the international break, while Brighton must now look ahead to their clash with high-flying Leicester City in two weeks' time.
It ends in a comfortable victory for United with the hosts running out 3-1 winners over Potter's side at Old Trafford. United raced into an early two-goal lead inside the first 20 minutes with Pereira on target before Propper bundled the ball into his own net following Fred's delivery, while Brighton failed to provide any real goalscoring threat in the opening period aside from Connolly's headed effort. Brighton then started the second half well, and it looked as though it could be a difficult afternoon for United when Dunk nodded home to pull one back, but Rashford then restored the two-goal cushion minutes later with his powerful effort. There were two further chances for Rashford, while Williams also went close towards the end, but it remained 3-1 to the hosts as they returned to winning ways in the Premier League.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: Manchester United 3-1 Brighton and Hove Albion

89' CLOSE! United launch a quick break following an extended Brighton attack which leads to some neat link-up play between Rashford and Martial just outside the box. This exchange sets Rashford free on the left-hand side of the box, but he drags his low shot narrowly wide of the right-hand post.
87' Martial collects the ball on the edge of the box before evading the challenge of Dunk to line up an attempt on goal, but he fails to generate much power behind his low effort which makes it a routine save for Ryan.
85' Brighton have registered over 60 per cent of the possession in this second period, but they have not managed to make effective use of the ball as they registered just two efforts on goal compared to 14 from United.
83' Brighton wait for an opening as they pass the ball along the midfield and defence before Burn then eventually tries to poke a ball through to March on the right flank, but it's handled well by McTominay who tracks back before winning possession.
81' United travel forward with menace as Martial lays it off to Rashford near the right flank, and he then slides a pass through to James on the left-hand side of the box, but the throughball is just too far ahead of the winger which sees the attack lose its momentum.
79' United win a free-kick on the edge of the box after Rashford is tripped by Dunk, but Fred bends his effort over the top left-hand corner from 20 yards out.
77' Ryan is currently down receiving medical treatment after saving Rashford's effort, but it appears that he will be able to carry on.
76' Lingard is slotted the ball on the right-hand side of the box before attempting to pick out Maguire at the back post, but his fizzing delivery evades the defender and runs through to the far side. Rashford then collects the ball and surges along the left-hand byline after beating Propper with a superb piece of skill, but he sees his effort blocked by Ryan from a tight angle.

J. Lingard
Andreas Pereira
70' United are making their first change as Pereira is replaced by Lingard.
68' SO CLOSE! It's very nearly a third for United as James surges into a pocket of space on the right-hand side of the box before squaring it across to Rashford at the back post, but he pokes his close-range effort wide of the left-hand post. It should really be four for United.
A. Martial
Assist
66' It looked like the opportunity had gone when Martial was tamed by Dunk when running through on goal, but the striker did really well to keep the attack alive by pulling it back to Rashford who made no mistake.
M. Rashford
Goal
66' GOOOAL! Rashford makes it 3-1 to United! Fred slides a throughball into the path of Martial who is tackled by Dunk, but the striker shows great awareness to pull it back to Rashford who sees his drilled effort crash off the crossbar and into the net.

L. Dunk
Goal
64' GOOOAL! Dunk pulls one back to make it 2-1! Gross whips a corner delivery in from the right-hand side, and Dunk then rises above Maguire just outside the six-yard box to close the gap between the sides.

G. Murray
A. Connolly
46' The second Brighton switch sees Murray enter the fray in place of Connolly.
S. March
Martín Montoya
46' Brighton are making a double substitution at the break with the first change seeing Montoya replaced by March.
The players are back out on the pitch following the interval.
It was a fairly even first half in terms of statistics with Brighton only slightly edging the possession, while the visitors had four attempts on goal compared to United's five. However, the key difference has been that United have been much more clinical in front of goal, with the hosts recording four shots on target compared to Brighton's tally of zero.
United head into the interval with a two-goal advantage following their quick-fire double inside the first 20 minutes. The hosts started brightly with Rashford seeing his long-range effort saved early on before his side took the lead when Pereira saw his sweeping effort deflect off Stephens and into the net. United then doubled their lead just two minutes later when Fred's free-kick delivery deflected into the net off Propper following pressure from Maguire and McTominay. Brighton did manage to create a handful of half-chances during the remainder of the half, with Connolly going closest with his flicked header following Trossard's cross, but United deserve their lead at the break.
45' + 4' HALF-TIME: Manxhester United 2-0 Brighton and Hove Albion
45' + 3' SAVE! Pereira shows excellent close skill to dodge Propper and create a pocket of space outside the box, but Ryan then gets down low to palm away his low drilled effort from some 30 yards out.

Yellow Card

3' United pass it along their defence and midfield before Lindelof aims to pick out Martial with a long ball forward from deep, but the defender strikes it just too hard and Ryan emerges from his goal to beat Martial to the loose ball.
1' The referee blows his whistle and United get us underway!
The players are emerging from the tunnel and it is almost time for kick-off at Old Trafford.
United have an encouraging record against Brighton on home soil, as they are unbeaten on the 11 occasions they have welcomed the Seagulls to Old Trafford in all competitions. However, Brighton have overcome United twice since their promotion to the top-flight in 2017, and they can take confidence from their 3-2 victory over today’s hosts last term.
Solskjaer has made five changes to the United side that overcame Partizan during the week with de Gea, Lindelof, Williams, James and Pereira all entering the team. Meanwhile, Romero, Rojo, Greenwood, Mata and Ashley Young have all dropped out of the line-up. Brighton have made two changes to their side with Duffy and Trossard replacing Adam Webster and Gross in the starting 11.
SUBS: David Button, Leon Balogun, Ezequiel Schelotto, Glenn Murray, Solly March, Pascal Gross, Aaron Mooy.
BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION (4-4-2): Mat Ryan; Martin Montoya, Lewis Dunk, Shane Duffy, Dan Burn; Steven Alzate, Davy Propper, Dale Stephens, Leandro Trossard; Neal Maupay, Aaron Connolly.
SUBS: Jesse Lingard, Mason Greenwood, James Garner, Juan Mata, Phil Jones, Marco Rojo, Sergio Romero.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams; Scott McTominay, Fred; Daniel James, Andreas Pereira, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.
Brighton enter the match in strong form following victories over Everton and Norwich in recent weeks, and another success against United would see Graham Potter’s side move up to fifth in the Premier League table. The former Swansea boss has made a steady start to life on the south coast, but his side’s excellent form of late is reflective of the positive-minded game plan he has aimed to deploy at the Amex Stadium.
United will be aiming to build on their 3-0 victory over Partizan Belgrade during the week, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side also looking to return to winning ways in the league following their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth last weekend. The Old Trafford outfit are currently sitting 14th in the table after an indifferent start to the campaign, but they could move as high as seventh with a win over the Seagulls.
Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of this Premier League clash between Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion!
