Pep Guardiola Yaya Toure Manchester City
Our tipster is expecting goals at both ends in a high-scoring game when the Eagles travel to take on Pep Guardiola's charges on Saturday afternoon

Manchester City will look to get their bid for a top four finish in the Premier League back on track when they play host to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's men have failed to win any of their last three matches in all competitions, after being held to draws in their last two Premier League games against Manchester United and Middlesbrough respectively, while the men from Manchester also crashed out of the FA Cup after being beaten by Arsenal at the semi-final stage at Wembley.

Failure to secure a top four finish would be considered disastrous for Guardiola's side in what has been a difficult debut season in English football for the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss, but City are 2/9 (1.22) favourites with Betfair Sportsbook to return to winning ways this weekend.

The Eagles had enjoyed a fine run of form, winning six of eight Premier League matches - a run of results that included victories at Stamford Bridge and Anfield, as well as a thumping 3-0 win against Arsenal at Selhurst Park; momentum, though, appears to have been lost, for Sam Allardyce's side have been beaten in both of their last two matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley respectively.

Both of those defeats came at Selhurst Park and the Eagles will hope that a return to the road will revive their flagging fortunes; the south London side can be backed at 11/1 (12.0) to take all three points, with 6/1 (7.0) that the match remains level at the end of 90 minutes.

Manchester City failed to find the net in their most recent home match - a dismal 0-0 draw with Manchester United - but, with the exception of that fixture, Guardiola's men have been in decent form in front of goal, scoring two or more goals in four of their last six league games.

Palace have drawn a blank in their last two league games, but Allardyce's charges have scored in five of their last six matches away from home and there is plenty of potential for the goals to flow once again when these two teams lock horns in Manchester.

As such, it is unsurprising that the offer is just 3/10 (1.30) that there are more than two goals scored in this game and  13/20 (1.65) that there are goals at both ends.

Better value, though, may lie in backing both teams to find the net in a match in which at least three goals are scored - that particular play would have landed in four of City's last six league matches and, as such, the  17/20 (1.85) quote for the trend to continue could offer decent value ahead of Saturday's showdown.

Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score at 17/20 (1.85) for a 2pt stake with Betfair Sportsbook
