Commentary

That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
This win moves Liverpool top of the Premier League table and they will face Norwich City in the EFL Cup next time out, before travelling to Brentford next weekend in the league. Meanwhile Palace drop to 13th and they will face Brighton and Hove Albion next at Selhurst Park.
Liverpool clinch a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace with Mane opening the scoring in the first half, getting his 100th goal for the club. They then wrapped up the win late on, with Salah scoring from close range, before Keita found the back of the net with a superb volley on 89 minutes. There could have been a few more goals, with Guaita forced into making several brilliant saves to deny Liverpool, but he couldn't prevent the goals, all of which came from corners. Edouard had a good opportunity in the second half for Palace, but Alisson reacted quickly to smother the chance.
90' + 3' FULL-TIME: LIVERPOOL 3-0 CRYSTAL PALACE
90' + 2' Late pressure here from Palace, but it is too late to get anything out of the game, with Liverpool looking like securing the three points with a 3-0 win.
90' There will be a minimum of three minutes added time played at the end of the second half.
N. Keïta
Goal
89' GOAL! Keita makes it 3-0 and what a strike it is! It comes from another corner and Palace fail to clear their lines, with Guaita punching the initial ball away, but it falls to Keita on the edge of the penalty area, who volleys an effort towards goal and it’s a terrific strike that flies straight into the back of the net.
D. Origi
J. Henderson
88' Another Liverpool change now, with Henderson coming off and he hands the captains armband to Milner. His replacement is Origi.
87' As it stands, Liverpool will go top of the Premier League with this win, as Manchester City are currently being held at home to Southampton.
85' It looks like Liverpool are going to try and hold out for the 2-0 victory here, they look comfortable and Palace aren't testing them at the other end.
J. Ward
Yellow Card
83' Ward is booked for a challenge on Tsimikas in the Liverpool half. Slightly harsh decision, as that could have gone either way.
M. Olise
C. Kouyaté
81' Palace make their final change, with Kouyate coming off and he has been replaced by Olise.
80' Good chance! Edouard gets on the end of a long ball forward and holds off Konate, before getting a shot away, but it is well saved by Alisson. The resulting corner comes to nothing.
Mohamed Salah
Yellow Card
79' Salah removed his shirt in celebration following his goal, so the referee shows him a yellow card.
V. van Dijk
Assist
78' Van Dijk didn't mean to flick the ball onto Salah, with the centre-back trying to get a header away at goal, but due to heavy pressure from Ward, it went behind him and Salah happily picked it up.
Mohamed Salah
Goal
78' GOAL! Salah doubles Liverpool’s lead, it’s 2-0! Tsimikas whips a corner in from the left wing, which is met by the head of Van Dijk, but he can’t turn it towards goal and it falls to Salah at the far post, who then only has Guaita to beat from close range. The striker makes no mistakes with the finish, powering it into the back of the net.
C. Jones
Diogo Jota
76' Liverpool make another change now, with Jota the man coming off and he has been replaced by Jones.
K. Tsimikas
Yellow Card
75' Tsimikas is booked after he dives in on Gallagher and catches the Palace midfielder late. Poor challenge.
74' Liverpool need to be careful that they don't get caught out at the back here, they have looked a little bit sloppy in the last couple of minutes and Palace could capitalise.
72' CHANCE! Great opportunity for Edouard to make it 1-1! Ward whips a superb cross into the penalty area, which is met by an unmarked Edouard and he only has Alisson to beat. However, the striker's touch is poor and Alisson pounces on the mistake, smothering the ball before Edouard can get a shot away.
72' Wild effort! Palace counter quickly up the pitch after Fabinho loses the ball in midfield and Ayew sprints into the final third. However, Ayew goes for goal instead of passing to a team-mate and his effort flies high over the crossbar.
70' There is just 20 minutes left to play here, can Palace find an equaliser? Or, will Liverpool go on and extend their lead and wrap up the three points?
68' SAVES! Guaita is forced into action twice to deny Keita and then Salah. The first opportunity falls to Keita after he finds time and space on the edge of the box and drills a low shot towards goal, which Guaita saves, but spills straight into the path of Salah, who goes for goal from a tight angle and Guaita makes himself big and makes another good stop.
67' Edouard has been directly involved in 21 goals in his last 24 league appearances (17 goals, 4 assists), netting twice on his Crystal Palace debut last time out.
J. Riedewald
J. McArthur
65' The other substitution sees McArthur replaced by Riedewald.
O. Édouard
C. Benteke
65' Palace make a double change, with Benteke the first to head off the pitch and he has been replaced by Edouard up front.
64' Not too far away! Van Dijk rises highest as a deep ball is whipped into the penalty area, but he can't keep his header down and it flies just over the Palace crossbar.
64' It looks like Palace are now getting ready to make their first change of the game, with Edouard receiving some last minute instructions on the sidelines.
62' Into the wall! Ayew steps up to take a free-kick right on the edge of the Liverpool penalty area, but he doesn't get enough height on it and the ball is well blocked by the Liverpool wall.
N. Keïta
Thiago Alcântara
62' Liverpool have been forced into making a change, with Thiago coming off with an injury and he has been replaced by Keita.
61' Excellent opportunity for Palace here as Jota fouls Gallagher right on the edge of the penalty area, after kicking out at his legs. Can they test Alisson from here?
59' Into the wall! Milner flicks a free-kick off to Fabinho, who drills a low effort towards goal from 30 yards out. However, it flies straight into the Palace wall and the visitors clear the danger.
58' Free-kick to Liverpool in a good shooting position, around 30 yards out after Henderson is fouled by McArthur. There are a few players standing around the ball wanting to take it.
57' Gallagher hasn't been able to get on the ball quite as much as he would have liked today, after a series of impressive performances for Palace. The midfielder is having to do a lot of defending.
55' This is better from the visitors, they are forcing Liverpool to sit deep and soak up the pressure, but they are lacking an attacking threat in the final third, with Alisson untested.
53' It will be interesting to see how long Palace leave it before making any changes as they haven't yet tested the Liverpool defence in the second half. Edouard is surely someone that they will look to for a goal.
51' Good move! Salah and Henderson link up well down the right wing, with the Liverpool skipper getting forward on the overlap and he tries to find a team-mate in the box, but his cross is well cut out and Palace clear the danger.
49' Liverpool have won their last eight Premier League games against Crystal Palace, scoring 24 goals and conceding just five.
47' Decent effort! Henderson tries to whip a cross into the box, but it is blocked and comes straight back to him, so he volleys the ball towards goal, but it flies well wide of the Palace goal.
46' The second half is under way!
Palace will still be confident that they can get back into this one, they've looked good in attack and have opened up the Liverpool defence on a few occasions, but couldn't find the breakthrough. Meanwhile Liverpool will look to extend their lead further and secure a comfortable win.
Liverpool lead at the break thanks to Mane’s close range strike just before the half-time whistle, but there could have been a few more in the opening half. Palace went close early on, with Zaha forcing Alisson into a quick reaction save, before Benteke hit the post with a header. However, Liverpool responded at the other end and Guaita pulled off a couple of excellent saves to deny Henderson and Thiago, before Jota missed a great opportunity from close range.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE
45' + 1' Decent chance! A Palace corner comes into the box and Liverpool only clear it to the edge of the box, where it is picked up by Ward, who drills a low effort towards goal. However, Alisson reads it well and makes a good save.
45' There will be a minimum of one minute added time played at the end of the first half.
S. Mané
Goal
43' GOAL! Liverpool take the lead just before the break, as Mane makes it 1-0! Tsimikas whips a terrific corner into the box, which is met by Salah and he powers a header down towards the bottom right corner of the net, but Guaita makes a superb save to deny him. However, Mane picks up the rebound and smashes it into the back of the net from just a few yards out.
42' There isn’t long left to play before the end of the first half, can either side break the deadlock before the half-time whistle?
J. Henderson
Yellow Card
40' Henderson is the first player to be booked after he blocks the path of Zaha and brings the Palace winger.
38' CHANCE! How did he miss? Lovely play down the right wing, with Mane finding Salah, who passes to Henderson and the Liverpool skipper spots the run of Thiago in the box, who meets his cross and powers a header towards goal. However, Guaita makes a great stop to deny him, but can't stop Jota from picking up the rebound, who should have a tap in from close range, but he somehow skies his effort high over the crossbar.
37' PENALTY SHOUT! Benteke tries to get on the end of a deep cross into the box, but Tsimikas steps across his path and he then falls into Van Dijk. The striker is appealing a penalty for the block by Tsimikas, but nothing is given.
35' Liverpool are increasing the intensity of their play now, they are camped inside the Palace half at the moment and are forcing the visitors to sit deep and soak up the pressure.
33' Good defending! Jota finds space on the edge of the box and fires an effort towards goal, but Ward slides in and makes a great block to send it high over the crossbar.
31' BLOCKED! LIverpool press forward and Palace fail to clear the ball in their box, with Salah sliding it across to Thiago who fires a shot at goal from around the penalty spot. However, Guehi gets across and makes a great block. The hosts recycle it, but Salah's volley after a Tsimikas cross from the left is easily gathered by Guaita.
30' We’re at the half an hour mark now and it remains goalless between Liverpool and Crystal Palace, but both teams have had chances to open the scoring early on.
28' Liverpool are on the longest current league unbeaten run in the top four tiers of English football, going 14 league games without defeat since a 1-0 home loss against Fulham in March (W11 D3).
26' CHANCE! Ayew slides the ball through to Benteke, who evades Van Dijk and races through on goal, but he has Konate for company and the centre-back does well to stay with him. Benteke manages to get an effort away at goal, but Konate gets a touch on it and sends it wide of the Liverpool goal. Good defending.
24' Ayew whips a terrific ball into the penalty area looking for Benteke who was unmarked in between the two Liverpool centre-backs. However, the striker made his run too early and the flag immediately goes up for offside.
23' Free-kick to Liverpool in a decent position out on the right wing, a good opportunity to whip the ball into the box and test the Palace defence. However, the visitors defend it well and clear the danger.
21' Liverpool have made a few changes from midweek, with none of the starting back four from Wednesday playing today. This is something that Palace could perhaps exploit.
19' Penalty shout! Zaha gets past Konate and sprints into the box after a ball in behind the Liverpool defence. The centre-back then seems to lean in makes contact with Zaha, who goes down and appeals for a penalty. However, the referee waves away his appeals and nothing is given.
18' It's quite open at the moment, with neither team able to control possession in midfield, with Palace currently enjoying a little spell on the ball. However, they haven't yet tested Alisson since the opening few minutes.
16' SAVE! Tsimikas lays the ball off to Mane on the overlap, who then delivers a deep cross into the box that finds Henderson at the far post. The Liverpool skipper volleys an effort towards goal, but Guaita gets across and makes a great save from close range to deny him.
15' The link up play between Mane and Tsimikas down the left wing has been very good so far, with the left-back constantly pressing high up the pitch and overlapping Mane, providing another option.
13' After winning three consecutive Premier League away games against Liverpool between 2014-15 and 2016-17, Crystal Palace have lost each of their last four visits to Anfield in the competition.
11' There is a good pace to the game so far, with Liverpool looking eager to push forward and create something in the final third, meanwhile Palace look very dangerous on the counter-attack at the other end.
9' Decent chance! Mane does well down the left wing and beats Ward, then finds Tsimikas, who sends it into the feet of Jota in the box and he fires a shot towards goal from a tight angle. However, he sends it way off target.
7' This is better from Liverpool, they are keeping the ball in midfield, but are yet to really get it into the final third and test the Palace defence.
5' That's two chances within the space of a minute for Palace, they've made a really bright start to the game and Liverpool need to kick on.
3' OFF THE POST! Palace go close again! A deep cross comes into the box and Benteke powers a header a header towards the bottom left corner of the net. However, it strikes the post and then hits a Palace man and bounces wide. It wouldn't have counted anyway as the flag goes up for offside.
2' CHANCE! Palace almost take the lead! Liverpool fail to deal with a free-kick and don't clear their lines, so Gallagher chips it back into the box, which Zaha sprints onto the end of and just gets to the ball ahead of Alisson, flicking it towards an empty net. However, he doesn't get enough pace on it and Alisson manages to tip it onto the post, before it bounces away.
1' We're under way!
The teams are out on the pitch and kick-off is just a few minutes away, stay tuned for all the match action!
Meanwhile Palace name the same starting XI that beat Tottenham last weekend, with Edouard remaining on the bench, despite his goals in that game, with Benteke keeping his place.
