That's all for today, goodbye!
Inter finish with 84 points, just two points behind rivals Milan. Sampdoria's league status had already been confirmed before this match, as they end the season in 15th with 36 points.
Inter's 3-0 win over Sampdoria isn't enough for them to retain the Scudetto after Milan's 3-0 win over Sassuolo. After a quiet first half for Inzaghi's men, they came out the blocks quickly in the second half. Perisic chipped the opening goal over Audero just four minutes after the break, with Correa getting two goals in two minutes to take the game out of sight, including a wonderful individual goal which started in his own half.
90' + 1' FULL-TIME: INTER 3-0 SAMPDORIA.
90' Bereszynski is caught on the ball by a combination of Vidal and Martinez, with the forward breaking into the box. The offside flag goes up though, sparing the defender's blushes.
88' No midfielder has provided more assists across the top five European leagues than Barella this season (12, level with Christopher Nkunku).
86' Ferrari almost plays himself into trouble inside his own box as he doesn't spot Dumfries closing him down. He just manages to turn away from the wing-back in time to hook it away.
Gerard Yepes
T. Rincón
84' Final change for Sampdoria now, and it's Rincon that's making way for Yepes.
82' Sabiri fizzes a dangerous low cross into the box from the left and Caputo flicks it towards goal. It's heading wide and Handanovic is happy to shield it out of play.
80' The visitors are enjoying a good spell of possession here, and Inter aren't in a hurry to close them down. Sampdoria's play is all in front of them and they're not causing any problems at the moment.
G. Magnani
M. Yoshida
78' And Yoshida, who is on a booking, is also making way for Magnani.
K. Askildsen
R. Vieira
77' There's another double change for Sampdoria. Vieira is the first to go off, with Askildsen replacing him.
75' Inter are in no hurry to get upfield at the moment, and Sampdoria are dropping deeper. Martinez tries to push his way through the middle but runs into traffic on the edge of the box.
F. Caicedo
J. Correa
73' And Correa, whose quick brace took this game out of Sampdoria's reach, also goes off, with Caicedo on for him.
A. Ranocchia
S. de Vrij
73' Final changes for Inter now as De Vrij makes his way to the sideline. Ranocchia is on in his place.
72' It's better from Sampdoria, as Caputo links up well with Damsgaard. The forward spots him peeling off the back of De Vrij, so tries to thread it through to him, but the defender makes a good block.
70' Inter break on the counter again, with Martinez bursting forward down the left inside. He squares it inside to Vidal, who can't pick out the forward with his return pass into the box.
68' GOOD SAVE! Calhanoglu touches the free-kick down the right to Vidal, who cuts inside before drilling a powerful, low effort on goal. Audero parries it away and De Vrij pokes it back towards goal, forcing Bereszynski into a vital goal-line block.
A. Ferrari
Yellow Card
66' It's a lovely turn from Martinez to get away from Ferrari, and the defender desperately stretches to tug him back, earning a yellow card.
64' Sampdoria are patiently working it out from the back and Damsgaard is pushing forward down the right. He pulls it back to Rincon, who tries to lift it over the top to Caputo, but De Vrij cuts it out.
S. Trimboli
M. Thorsby
62' And Trimboli is the other player being introduced as he replaces Thorsby.
M. Damsgaard
A. Candreva
62' Sampdoria are making a double change here. Damsgaard is being brought on for Candreva.
R. Gosens
I. Perišić
60' There's a triple change for Inter following that third goal. Perisic went down in the build-up to it, and he's taken off on a stretcher. Gosens replaces him.
F. Dimarco
A. Bastoni
59' And Bastoni is also going off, with Dimarco on for him.
A. Vidal
N. Barella
59' Barella is also making way, with Vidal on in his place.
J. Correa
Goal
57' CORREA SCORES AGAIN! And just like that, it's 3-0! Correa makes the run from deep in his own half into Sampdoria's box before he tries to take it around Yoshida but spins into Ferrari. He nudges the defender out of his way before hitting his shot on the half-turn. Audero doesn't see it coming, and he slots it across goal.
H. Çalhanoğlu
Assist
55' Calhanoglu opened up the space in behind Sampdoria with the one-two, before picking out the right pass to Correa.
J. Correa
Goal
55' CORREA SCORES! And it's a lovely goal by Inter! Calhanoglu plays a one-two with Perisic to get to the edge of the box before he lays it off to Correa. The perfectly-weighted pass allows him to hit the shot first time, and he curls it out of Audero's reach and into the far side of the net. 2-0 Inter!
53' Inter are in full control in this second half as Candreva gives the ball away again. Perisic surges forward down the left again, but this time, he can't pick out a team-mate with his cross.
51' Inter almost get a quick second after Correa fizzes a dangerous low cross into the six-yard box. It's just out of Martinez's reach and Dumfries is just beaten to it by Augello, who makes a vital interception.
N. Barella
Assist
49' Barella had the space to shoot after carrying the ball a long way, but he chose to pick out a team-mate instead.
I. Perišić
Goal
49' PERISIC SCORES! Perisic starts the move by dispossessing Candreva and sets Inter on the counter. Barella carries it into the box before unselfishly picking out the Croatian to his left. He lifts a lovely shot over Yoshida and Audero to pick out the far bottom corner. 1-0 Inter!
48' GREAT SAVE! Barella plays a good one-two with Martinez to open up some space on the left of the box. He's one-on-one with Audero, but the goalkeeper stretches to keep out his shot.
46' And we're back underway for the second half!
Inter need to beat Sampdoria and hope Milan lose against Sassuolo if they are to finish above their Scudetto rivals. Given Milan lead by three goals in that other fixture, the Nerazzurri's title hopes are surely over. Still, Inzaghi will be eager for his side to round off the campaign with a win here.
A frustrating first half comes to a close for Inter. Inzaghi's side dominated pretty much from the beginning and saw their best two chances fall the way of Martinez, who skimmed the post with a header and was then denied by Audero when in on goal.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: INTER 0-0 SAMPDORIA
44' Dumfries heads wide from a good position as another chance goes begging for Inter. We are into the final minute of normal time at the end of the first half, and it is unlikely that any extra minutes will be added on.
42' Inter have an expected goals (xG) return of 1.42, compared to 0.23 for Sampdoria. The hosts have undoubtedly been the better side, but they have been unable to find a breakthrough as we fast approach half-time.
40' GREAT SAVE! This is superb from Audero! Martinez is slipped in and has time to set himself for the shot, but the powerful drive is brilliantly kept out by the Sampdoria keeper. The Inter striker has a second go at it and blazes completely off target.
38' Dumfries desperately attempts to keep the ball in play, but it just crosses the line before he can cut it back into the middle. This is turning into a day of real frustration for Inzaghi's men.
36' GOAL UPDATE! Two goals soon becomes three for Milan against Sassuolo thanks to Kessie. At San Siro, it is a familiar tale – Inter are dominating the ball (60 per cent possession) without doing a great deal with it.
34' GOAL UPDATE! Milan have doubled their lead against Sassuolo, with Giroud getting his second of the game. That has surely ended Inter's Scudetto hopes, regardless of what happens here.
32' Sampdoria are putting together the occasional attack, with Candreva flashing wide, but the best chances are falling Inter's way. Martinez's shot is heading for the target, but it is blocked before Audero can even think about making the save.
30' A reminder that Milan are beating Sassuolo 1-0 elsewhere today, so Inter not only need to find a way through against Sampdoria but also hope that Sassuolo can score twice in that other fixture.
N. Barella
Yellow Card
29' Barella is shown the second yellow card of the day, seemingly for something he said to the referee after catching his opponent.
27' SHOT! Inter are slowly starting to turn the screw. Martinez has another go, but it is another one that Audero is equal to.
25' CLOSE! Perisic lets fly with an attempt that takes a couple of deflections on its way over. Moments later, Perisic turns provider by sending in a cross for Martinez, whose header skims the left-hand post on its way wide.
23' There is very little happening at San Siro at the moment in what has been a quiet opening quarter to the contest. Inter have had three shots to Sampdoria's one, with just one of those – a hopeful attempt from Calhanoglu – on target.
21' If Inter win today, head coach Simone Inzaghi will become the third manager in their history to pick up 25 or more victories in his debut season for the club after Aldo Olivieri (1950-51) and Jose Mourinho (2008-09).
19' GOAL UPDATE! Milan have taken the lead against Sassuolo through an Olivier Giroud goal, so Inter's task has been made all the more difficult. Forget about that match for now - the Nerazzurri need to take care of business against Sampdoria first.
17' Sampdoria have been put under pressure but it is not exactly relentless from Inter. It remains goalless in the two huge games at the top of Serie A, with Milan so far unable to find a way past Sassuolo.
15' Calhanoglu certainly knows how to deliver a set-piece and this one is right on the money. Martinez appears to be attempting to head it down into the centre, but it is cut out.
13' Inter deal with the corner and win one of their own soon after. It comes to little, though a free-kick is won in a promising position for a needless foul on Barella out wide.
11' Sampdoria finally manage to get the ball into the other half of the field and it causes some panic in the Inter defence. A cross comes in from the right and De Vrij scuffs his clearance against Bastoni for a corner.
9' FIRST SAVE! Inter pass the ball around just outside the penalty area and Calhanoglu eventually gets a low shot in from range, which is simple enough for Audero to deal with.
7' Inter win a free-kick around 15 yards from the Sampdoria box. It is clipped into the six-yard area and Audero punches clear, albeit not very convincingly.
M. Yoshida
Yellow Card
5' Yoshida, one of two changes made to the Sampdoria side today, earns an early booking for a foul on Correa.
4' The home side are having to remain patient with their build-up play. Calhanoglu slots the ball to Correa in the opposition penalty area, but the latter is unable to get a shot away.
3' Inter are asking the early questions here. A couple of crosses into the box are easily dealt with by the opposition. Sampdoria are likely to sit back and absorb this pressure for as long as possible.
1' KICK-OFF! Sampdoria get us up and running at a packed San Siro on this final day of Serie A action. Regardless of the outcome here, the visitors can finish no higher or lower than 15th.
Both sets of players are out on the field at San Siro and kick off is just a few moments away. Will it be Scudetto joy or heartbreak for Inter a couple of hours from now...?
At least three goals have been scored – and 23 in total – in the past six Serie A meetings between Inter and Sampdoria, with both teams scoring in each of those games. Inter have won four of those six matches.
Sampdoria have already confirmed their Serie A status and head into this game on the back of a thumping 4-1 win against Fiorentina. Marco Giampaolo has also made a couple of changes to his side, with Yoshida replacing the suspended Omar Colley at centre-back and Caputo in for the benched Quagliarella in attack.
Inter show two changes from last week's 3-1 win at Cagliari. Dumfries and Correa are recalled to the starting line-up in place of Darmian and Dzeko, who drop to the bench. Gagliardini, a second-half substitute last time out, is not included in the matchday squad after sustaining an injury in training.
Subs: Nicola Ravaglia, Wladimiro Falcone, Stefano Sensi, Kristoffer Askildsen, Giangiacomo Magnani, Fabio Quagliarella, Gerard Yepes, Nicola Murru, Mikkel Damsgaard, Lorenzo Di Stefano, Marco Somma, Simone Trimboli.

Subs: Alex Cordaz, Ionut Radu, Alexis Sanchez, Matias Vecino, Edin Dzeko, Andrea Ranocchia, Robin Gosens, Arturo Vidal, Federico Dimarco, Danilo D'Ambrosio, Matteo Darmian, Felipe Caicedo.

Inter have won seven of their past eight league games and need to beat 15th-placed Sampdoria, who have little to play for, if they are to have a shot at retaining their title. Even then, Simone Inzaghi's side need Milan to lose against Sassuolo if they are to pip their rivals – who boast a superior head-to-head record – to top spot.
The Scudetto race has been gripping throughout the campaign and it has gone right down to the wire. Inter are two points behind leaders and fierce rivals Milan, who are away at Sassuolo.
Welcome to our live text coverage of this showdown between Inter and Sampdoria at San Siro on the final day of the 2021-22 Serie A season.
