Commentary

That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
This win moves Real Madrid up to second in the table, ahead of Barcelona who play tomorrow and Zidane's side face Eibar next time out. Meanwhile Celta drop down to 11th and they travel to Alaves after the international break.
Real Madrid clinch all three points against Celta Vigo, with a 3-1 win, after a brace from Benzema and a late stoppage time header from Asensio. Mina pulled one back for Celta just before the break, but they couldn't find an equaliser in the second period, with Aspas striking the post from a free-kick and that's as close as they came. The visitors then caught them out on the counter late on and Asensio made sure of the victory.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: CELTA VIGO 1-3 REAL MADRID
K. Benzema
Assist
90' + 4' Benzema this time turns provider as he delivers the ball into the box for Asensio, who couldn't really miss as it was perfectly timed and he headed home.
Asensio
Goal
90' + 4' GOAL! Asensio makes it 3-1 to Real Madrid in stoppage time! Another counter from the visitors, with Benzema getting forward down the left and he finds Asensio in the box, who heads into the back of the net from just a few yards out. Lovely move and finish to wrap up the three points.
90' + 3' The hosts aren’t giving up, but time isn’t on their side and as they push forward, Madrid may catch them out on the counter-attack.
José Fontán
A. Solari
90' + 1' Late change here by Celta as they push for an equaliser, as Solari is replaced by Fontan.
90' There will be a minimum of three minutes added time played at the end of the second half.
90' Blocked! Nacho with a superb challenge to deny Aspas in the six-yard box after the striker got on the end of a low cross into penalty area from the left. The defender threw himself at the ball to make sure the shot didn’t go anywhere near Courtois.
89' Madrid are starting to slow the game down when they can, keeping the ball in midfield and just running the clock down as we enter the final few minutes.
87' Prior to this game, Zidane had managed nine games against Celta Vigo in LaLiga without losing any of them (W7 D2). His team have scored 30 goals in total across these matches(3.3 goals per game on average), and have conceded only eight.
A. Solari
Yellow Card
85' Solari is the latest player to be booked after his challenge on Vazquez.
Fran Beltrán
Brais Méndez
84' The other change sees Mendez replaced by Beltran.
F. Ferreyra
J. Murillo
84' Double substitution now by Celta, with Murillo the man coming off and he has been replaced by Ferreyra.
82' OFF THE POST! So close by Aspas! The striker steps up to take a free-kick around 25 yards out, he gets it up and over the wall and it flies towards the top-right corner, but strikes the outside of the post!
L. Modrić
Yellow Card
80' Modric loses control of the ball slightly on the edge of the box and he has to dive in to make sure Tapia doesn't get it. The midfielder gets to it first, but catches Tapia on the follow through and the referee awards Celta a free-kick in a very good position.
Denis Suárez
Yellow Card
78' Suarez pushed Vinicius as he fired an effort towards goal and it causes the striker to power his strike high over the crossbar. The Celta man is booked.
78' CHANCE! Celta once again lose the ball at the back and Benzema almost capitalises, nicking it off their toes and he drills an effort towards goal. However, Villar does well and makes a strong save to deny the striker.
75' Celta are starting to get a little frustrated as they aren’t getting anywhere in the final third, so are rushing into challenges and giving away a few too many free-kicks.
73' There is still plenty of time for Celta to get back into this game, but at the moment, it is the visitors who look more dangerous in front of goal.
A. Solari
Nolito
71' Celta also make their first change, with Nolito heading off the pitch and he has been replaced by Solari.
Asensio
T. Kroos
71' Madrid make their first change of the game and it is Kroos who comes off and he has been replaced by Asensio.
Nacho
Yellow Card
70' A deep free-kick is lofted into the Celta box, but Villar reads it well and superbly punches it clear. The hosts look to counter, but Nacho brings down Aspas on the halfway line and the defender is booked.
68' Benzema has now scored five braces in LaLiga this season for Real Madrid. Only in one previous season has he scored more for the club: 2011/12 (6).
66' CHANCE! Another quick Madrid counter, but once again it doesn’t come to anything! Vinicius sprints down the left wing, getting to the byline and he tries to find Benzema in the box, but his pass is poor and the Celta defence clear the danger. If Benzema had got onto the end of that, it surely would have been 3-1.
64' It’s end-to-end at the moment, with Madrid catching Celta out on the counter a few times as the hosts push forward. Can they find the equaliser soon?
62' SAVE! Courtois is called into action to deny Aspas, after the striker cut inside from the right, played a one-two with Mendez and then fired a low effort which seemed to be heading into the bottom right-hand corner of the net. However, the keeper got down low quickly and made an excellent stop.
60' Madrid counter up the other end of the pitch and Kroos gets to the edge of the box, before laying it out to Benzema, who pulls it back from the byline to Valverde. The midfielder flicks it to Vinicius, but the strikers shot is superbly blocked by Mallo.
59' Good move! Celta work it really well into the final third and Aspas seems to find space to fire a shot towards goal. However, instead he opts to play it out wide to Mendez on the overlap and his cross is well blocked and Madrid counter up the other end.
58' We might need to see some changes in order for Celta to get back into the game, as they are keeping the ball well in midfield, but just can’t get into the final third to test the Real defence.
56' There is a good pace to the game, with Celta keeping the ball in midfield, but they are playing it quickly and Real are pressing them high as well. No chances for Celta to equalise yet.
54' Wild effort! Kroos whips a corner into the box, which is cleared to the edge of the box and picked up by Mendy, who tries to curl the ball into the top right corner. However, he gets it all wrong and it flies well wide of the Celta goal.
52' Real Madrid haven’t lost any of their last nine away games in LaLiga (W5 D4) – they last went 10 or more away games in succession without defeat in a top-flight campaign in May 2016 (G11 - W8 D3).
50' Madrid win a free-kick in a good position, which Kroos takes short to Modric, but he has to play it out wide to Benzema and Celta do well to clear the danger.
48' There are a few players getting warmed up on the sidelines for both teams, but no changes yet. Celta with the early pressure in the second half.
46' The second half is under way!
Both teams have had a few more chances to score, but haven't taken their opportunities, so this game could go either way at the moment.
A brace from Benzema sees Real Madrid lead 2-1 at half-time over Celta Vigo, who pulled one back just before the break through Mina. The first goal came after lovely vision from Kroos to spot Benzema in space and he provided a great finish. The second was also created by Kroos, but this time after good pressure in the final third to win the ball back and Benzema once again coolly converted. However, the visitors let their guard down and Mina headed home a Suarez free-kick to make it 2-1.
45' HALF-TIME: CELTA VIGO 1-2 REAL MADRID
44' Madrid will be happy to go into the break with a 2-1 lead, as Celta are pushing forward in search of another goal. The visitors just stepped off the pace for a few minutes and allowed the hosts in. Suarez almost finds Nolito in behind, but his pass was slightly too far in front of his teammate and the chance goes away.
42' There’s not long left to play before the end of the first half, can Celta find an equaliser before the half-time whistle?
Denis Suárez
Assist
40' Suarez delivered a lovely free-kick into the penalty area, straight onto the head of Mina and thanks to some very poor marking by Madrid, he was able to head home.
Santi Mina
Goal
40' GOAL! Mina has pulled one back for Celta, it’s 2-1! It comes from a free-kick which Suarez whips into the penalty area and Madrid try to play a high line and catch players offside, but Mina times his run perfectly and is completely unmarked to head the ball into the far corner of the net.
T. Kroos
Yellow Card
39' Kroos is booked for a deliberate foul on Aspas as the striker raced forward on the counter and the Real midfielder pulled him back.
37' Madrid have sat back slightly since doubling their lead, allowing Celta to see more of the ball in their half. However, they are yet to really test Courtois in the Madrid goal.
35' Real Madrid haven’t lost in their last six visits to Celta Vigo in LaLiga, winning five of them (D1), while they have scored at least three goals in each of their five wins in this streak.
33' Decent effort! Martin with a good cross into the box from the right wing and Mendez meets it, but his header is well saved by Courtois.
32' We’re past the half an hour mark now between Celta Vigo and Real Madrid and it is Real who lead 2-0 thanks to a brace from Benzema.
T. Kroos
Assist
30' It was great pressure by Madrid to chase the ball down and Kroos took advantage of some sloppy play at the back, to win it off Tapia and then have the vision to flick it to Benzema, who provided the finish.
K. Benzema
Goal
30' GOAL! Benzema makes it 2-0 to Real Madrid! It comes after Celta try to play it out from the back, but lose it on the edge of their own box and Madrid capitalise. Kroos nicks it off Tapia and then flicks it to Benzema, who turns and fires it into the bottom left-hand corner of the net.
28' The visitors are dominating the game at the moment, with Celta struggling to get on the ball and are having to defend deep inside their own half.
26' CHANCE! Vinicius should make it 2-0! The ball finds Benzema down the right and the striker gets to the byline and then whips a cross into the six-yard box, which seems to catch everyone by surprise, including Vinicius at the far post. The striker doesn't have time to react and it just hits him on the head and goes wide.
R. Tapia
Yellow Card
25' Tapia is the first Celta player to be booked, after he pulls the shirt of Vazquez and stops the defender in his tracks.
23' CHANCE! Celta with a great opportunity to equalise! It comes from a deep free-kick, which is whipped into the penalty area by Suarez and is met by the head of Mina. The striker tries to find the top right-hand corner of the net. However, it has slightly too much on it and flies just over the crossbar.
Vinícius Júnior
Yellow Card
22' The first yellow card of the game is shown to Vinicius for his late sliding challenge on Tapia halfway into the Madrid half. The striker got nowhere near the ball.
T. Kroos
Assist
20' Kroos picked out Benzema perfectly in the box, sliding it through for the striker and he did the rest with a fine finish. The midfielder has been excellent so far today, involved in everything going forward for Madrid.
K. Benzema
Goal
20' GOAL! Real Madrid take the lead, Benzema fires them ahead and makes it 1-0! They work it really well, switching play quickly to Kroos, who then dribbles past a couple of players, before finding Benzema, who just stays onside. The striker then turns and curls the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the net. Lovely move and finish.
17' Good run! Real catch Celta out on the counter and Benzema lays it off to Vinicius, who sprints forward and takes on a couple of defenders, getting into the final third, but eventually gets the ball stuck under his feet and the hosts clear the danger.
15' The pace of the game is quite slow at the moment, with neither team really pushing for the opening goal. The Benzema chance is still the best opportunity that we have seen so far.
13' Celta are enjoying more of the possession now, they have Real penned inside their own half and the visitors have everyone back behind the ball defending.
11' Celta Vigo haven’t won any of their last 13 matches against Real Madrid in LaLiga (D2 L11), since a 2-0 win in May 2014 under Luis Enrique.
9' CHANCE! Real win a corner and it is half cleared, but only to Benzema who is unmarked at the back post and the striker fires an effort towards goal. However, Mallo gets across brilliantly and makes an excellent block to send it out of play for a corner.
7' Good move by Celta! They manage to work the ball well down the right wing and Mendez ends up firing a low shot towards goal. However, his effort is weak and Courtois easily gathers.
5' Blocked! Villar comes out of his goal to try and clear a long ball over the top of the Celta defence, but he and his defenders get mixed up and Vinicius ends up sneaking in to it first. Luckily, the angle is too tight for a shot, so he plays it back to Benzema, who goes for goal, but it is well blocked.
3' It is Real with all of the early possession here, they are keeping the ball well in midfield and the hosts have barely touched it so far. Nothing into the final third just yet.
1' We're under way!
The teams are out on the pitch and kick off is just a few minutes away, stay tuned for all the match action!
Meanwhile Celta have made two changes to this starting XI, with Comesana and Caricol missing out and they have been replaced by Mallo and Martin.
Zinedine Zidane has been forced to make one change from the side that beat Atalanta in the Champions League in midweek, as Sergio Ramos misses out due to injury. Casemiro comes into the starting line-up.
CELTA VIGO SUBS:  Joseph Aidoo, Miguel Baeza, Facundo Ferreyra, Fran Beltran, David Junca, Jose Manuel Fontan, Patrick Sequeira, Kevin Vazquez, Augusto Solari.
CELTA VIGO (4-1-3-2): Ivan Villar; Hugo Mallo, Nestor Araujo, Jeison Murillo, Aaron Martin; Renato Tapia; Brais Mendez, Denis Suarez, Nolito; Iago Aspas, Santi Mina.
REAL MADRID SUBS: Hugo Duro, Andriy Lunin, Marcelo, Eder Militao, Isco, Diego Altube, Marco Asensio, Rodrygo.
REAL MADRID (4-3-1-2): Thibaut Courtois; Lucas Vazquez, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Ferland Mendy; Federico Valverde, Casemiro, Toni Kroos; Luka Modric; Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior.
Meanwhile Celta are 10th, but they are unbeaten in their last three games, picking up five points in the process and they drew 0-0 with Athletic Club last time out. The two sides only met at the start of January and Madrid ran out 2-0 victors on that occasion.
Madrid are unbeaten in LaLiga since the start of February, picking up five wins and two draws to move them up to third in the table, just two points behind Barcelona and six off Atletico at the top. However, they have Karim Benzema to thank for their 2-1 victory over Elche last time out, as they came from behind to win and the striker scored a 91st minute winner.
