Atletico are next in action against Granada after the international break on October 16 on the road. Barcelona face Valencia in their next LaLiga match on October 17 at Camp Nou.
Atletico Madrid get back to winning ways in LaLiga by defeating Barcelona 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano. Goals in the first half from Thomas Lemar and Luis Suarez were enough to secure the three points for Diego Simeone's men to move them level with Real Madrid at the top of the table. Barca slumped to their second loss of the week, and the calls for Ronald Koeman's dismissal may only grow after another disappointing result.
90' + 3' Barcelona look dejected. A difficult week for the Catalan club appears to be continuing at the Wanda Metropolitano.

81' Lodi replaces Carrasco down the left flank to shore up the Atletico defence.
81' Felipe enters the action for the hosts to replace Hermoso for the final nine minutes.
79' Depay floats the resulting free-kick into the box, but Pique can only nod the ball behind for a goal-kick.
Yellow Card
78' Koke's determination to win the ball results in him catching Fati with a swiping leg. He goes into the book. Barcelona have a free-kick 30 yards from goal.

Ronald Koeman will be devastated that his side are heading into the break with a two-goal deficit. The Catalan club have not played badly, but have been lacking the cutting edge in both ends of the pitch. Whereas Atletico have taken their opportunities, Barca have not been on their mettle. A big second half awaits Koeman and his team.
Atletico Madrid hold a 2-0 lead over Barcelona at the break in their LaLiga clash. Thomas Lemar fired the home side ahead with a thumping strike after beeing teed up by Suarez. The Frenchman returned the favour for his team-mate before the former Barca man found the bottom-left corner just before the interval. 8' WIDE! Lemar makes a good run behind the Barcelona defence. He plays a one-two with Suarez and then Llorente to surge towards the edge of the box. The Frenchman fires an effort low and hard towards goal, but it just travels wide of the right post.
6' Araujo is fortunate to escape a booking for pulling back Joao Felix in the Barcelona half. The defender grappled with the Portuguese and was in a bad situation, forcing him to commit the foul.

Mingueza slots into the right side of the defence as Garcia is withdrawn after his dismissal during the week.
Atletico have made four changes to their side from their win over Milan during the week. Savic, De Paul, Lemar and Felix all come into the side in place of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Trippier, Felipe and Correa. Kondogbia misses out this evening, while the others drop to the bench. Suarez starts against his former club, although Griezmann will begin from the sidelines.

Ronald Koeman is under immense pressure after his side slumped to a 3-0 defeat to Benfica during the week in the Champions League, enduring their second defeat in a row in the competition. The Catalan club are unbeaten in LaLiga in their opening six matches, but are off the pace of the leading pack. Barca were on form against Levante last time out in LaLiga and are desperate for a stellar performance to silence their critics.
Atletico have been hit and miss at the start of the LaLiga campaign, although they have taken 14 points from their opening seven matches. Diego Simeone's men suffered their first defeat of the season last week against Alaves, losing 1-0 on the road. Los Rojiblancos responded with an impressive 2-1 win over Milan in the Champions League. They now have the chance to turn the screw on a under-fire Barca to regain the ground of Real Madrid at the top of the table.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the LaLiga clash between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona at the Wanda Metropolitano.
