K’Ogalo held the North African side to a barren draw in the first leg and a win of any kind or a scoring draw will see the Kenyan side progress

  • Gor Mahia keeper Boniface Oluoch issues instructions to the back four at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Sunday.

    #1 Boniface Oluoch

It all starts from the back, and for the Kenyan champions to settle, keeper Oluoch has to lead by example. He has to read the moves well and command his defensive line effectively. The most important thing is to ensure he makes saves that will stop the opponent from getting a goal.

    #2 Wesley Onguso

With Godfrey Walusimbi and Wellington Ochieng’ missing out, Wesley Onguso will be trusted by coach Dylan Kerr to start at the left back. Onguso, signed from Sofapaka in January, has already proved his worthy since joining the champions and will be required to be at his best against the Tunisian giants.

  • Dennis Mukaisi and Joash Onyango of Gor Mahia

    #3 Joash Onyango

The former Western Stima star was excellent in the first leg, stopping all potential attacks. All eyes will be on him and his captain Harun Shakava and if they put up a solid display like they did in the first leg, then Gor Mahia will stand a chance of progressing to the Group stage.

  • Ernest Wendo of Gor Mahia v Simon Ndungu of AFC Leopards

    #4 Ernest Wendo

Wendo, alongside Philemon Otieno, were a perfect match, and together they formed a formidable partnership. Once again, their hard tackles will be needed to stop the hosts, as well as ensuring they make the midfield their own.

  • Gor Mahia captain Haroun Shakava celebrates with George Odhiambo v AFC Leopards.

    #5 Harun Shakava

The captain has started his reign well, and so far he has not suffered defeat. The game against Esperance is undoubtedly his biggest test, and he has to show he has what it takes to take the team forward. Shakava has to command his line well and ensure the opponent do not get a chance to score. His leadership skills will be under intense test and it is up to him to ensure he passes with flying colors.

  • Francis Kahata of Gor Mahia in action.j

    #6 Francis Kahata

One of the most creative players in the Kenyan Premier League. He will be aiming at providing those killer passes that will destabilize the opponents. He is also well known for his set piece skills that might pose a great danger to the Tunisian giants.

  • Gor Mahia striker Meddie Kagere.

    #7 Meddie Kagere

The Rwandan striker was a thorn in Esperence defense, and he was just unlucky not to score. All hopes will be on the star, who is known for his never die attitude; Kagere will be leading the attack alongside Jacques Tuyisenge with the main task being putting that ball into the back of the net.
