However, the 53-year-old could return to the Premier League soon as Everton have been linked with a move for the executive, according to <a href="https://talksport.com/football/2373320/dan-ashworth-manchester-united-everton-arsenal/" target="_blank"><em>talkSPORT</em></a>.</p>

<p>The report further adds that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/everton-finally-find-buyer-billionaire-roma-owner-dan-friedkin-completes-toffees-takeover/bltc7412f379f8600b7" target="_blank">Dan Friedkin, who is all set to take over at the Toffees as their new owner</a>, is known to be an admirer of Ashworth and he could bring the ex-United sporting director back to the English top-flight once his take over gets the Premier League's ratification by the end of this month. </p>
