  It was a tough night for Tampa Bay Sun, hosting the visiting Brooklyn side and falling at home. This was Tampa's first loss of the season, and they now have a break this weekend before heading back on the road to take on front-runner Carolina Ascent FC.

  Spokane Zephyr FC are still searching for their first win of the season. Zephyr FC fell to top team Carolina Ascent, conceding two goals.

  They've now given up a goal in every game played so far. Next weekend, Zephyr FC will host DC Power.

• 5DC Power ⬆️

  It was a special occasion for DC Power, as the team competed in the club's first-ever match at Audi Field.

  It was the first meeting between DC Power and Fort Lauderdale United, and DC could not hold off a hungry visiting team.

  DC Power did have the better of the shots on the day, taking 20 to FL United's 11.

  Fort Lauderdale United rose to the occasion against DC Power at historic Audi Field, shutting the Florida side down and scoring two goals on the night.

  Addie McCain and Ishata Hamid scored for FL United. FL United sits in fourth place in the league standings and are 1-1-1.

  Brooklyn battled for a big win, defeating Tampa Bay Sun on the road. Brooklyn FC are now 1-0-1 overall, and have a gritty way of playing, with an organized midfield, and shutdown defending.

  Brooklyn are scheduled to face Dallas Trinity at home next Wednesday.

  Dallas Trinity could not be stopped, recording six goals in a dominant win over Lexington SC.

  Allie Thornton scored three goals for Dallas, while Amber Brooks chipped in one and Chioma Ubogagu scored two.

  Dallas are in second place in the league standings with a 1-0-2 overall record.

  Carolina Ascent FC remains the team to beat this inaugural USL Super League season. The team earned their second-straight win, and are now 3-0-1. In their last four games, they have picked up three wins.

  Ascent FC scored two goals against Spokane, and returned to Charlotte with their first road win of the season.

  Ascent FC will next face Tampa Bay Sun at home, third place in the league standings.
