The 2025-26 FA Cup began back in August with the qualifying stage, and the first round proper is now coming into the picture, with 48 EFL clubs entering.
One of the most prestigious domestic cup competitions in football, the FA Cup is now in its 145th year, and teams across England will have designs on booking a trip to Wembley Stadium, where they will hope to emulate defending champions Crystal Palace.

When is the FA Cup first round draw?

- Time: 6:40pm BST (1:40pm ET)
The draw for the first round proper of the 2025-26 FA Cup will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025.
It will take place during the live coverage of the fourth-round qualifying tie between Worthing and Forest Green Rovers. The draw will be held at approximately 6:40 pm BST (1:40pm ET), before the game kicks off.
How to watch the FA Cup first round draw: TV channels & streams
The draw will be available to watch live on TNT Sports 1 and discovery+ in the United Kingdom. It will also be available to stream live on the official TNT Sports YouTube channel.
Becky Ives will present the draw, with assistance provided by former West Ham striker Michail Antonio and ex-Crystal Palace stalwart Joel Ward.

Which teams are in the FA Cup first round draw?
A total of 80 teams enter the first round proper of the FA Cup: 24 from League One, 24 from League Two and the 32 winners from the final qualifying round. There will be 40 ties.

When will the FA Cup first round draw be played?
The 2025-26 FA Cup first round fixtures are scheduled to be played on the main date of Saturday, November 1, 2025.
However, scheduling constraints and TV considerations mean that games will be played across that weekend, from Friday, October 31, to Monday, November 3.
