Megan Rapinoe might have been named Player of the Match in the last Women's World Cup final, but the most memorable moment from that warm summer evening in Lyon, France, is certainly Rose Lavelle's goal.
Picking the ball up just inside the Netherlands' half, the U.S. women's national team midfielder drove into the space that opened up in front of her and rifled a low shot past the despairing dive of Sari van Veenendaal.
It sealed a 2-0 victory that made the United States just the second nation in history to retain the Women's World Cup.
Jill Roord was on the opposing team that day and she remembers Lavelle's performance very well. After all, she was battling against her in midfield.
"I was really impressed," she tells GOAL. "We really struggled to defend [against] her. She was really quick, had a really good dribble. Very threatening for us."
Roord and her Wolfsburg team-mate Pauline Bremer have both been European champions. The Dutchwoman achieved that feat with her country, winning the Netherlands' home Euros in 2017. Bremer, meanwhile, did so with eight-time Champions League winners Lyon back in 2016.
Given they now represent one of Europe's best women's teams, too, i's no surprise that when the pair sit down to chat to GOAL for the latest episode of Simply the Best, their answers are littered with some of the biggest and best names in the women's game.
Asked about the stand-out moments and players the pair have encountered throughout their careers to date, many of the answers relate back to those two European triumphs.
Roord is quick to pick out Vivianne Miedema, her international team-mate, as the best she's played alongside. The Arsenal star was only 21 years old when she scored twice in the Euro 2017 final, a trophy Roord describes as "the most special prize" she has won.
"I think she is different than any other player I've played with and I know in women's football," she explains. "She scores super easy. She finishes like you see men's football, actually. I think she can make a difference for team in no time."
For Bremer, her greatest privileges and challenges link back to her time in France with Lyon.
The best player she has played with, Wendie Renard, was part of that team, with there also a special mention for Eugenie Le Sommer. Bremer describes the French attacker as both the best player that she's been able to call her team-mate when it comes to her talent on the ball, and her toughest opponent.
"I played with Wendie Renard and she was just such a good defender," the Wolfsburg forward explains. "Always in training, it was really hard to get past her for me as a striker.
"At that time, I remember Eugenie Le Sommer was really good. She had good dribbling skills and shooting. I also played against her when I played at Turbine Potsdam. I was really struggling to defend [against] her, but I really liked the challenge.
"Because she can use both feet, left and right, I never knew where she was going. She was just a really dangerous player."
