Ozil hosts 11-year-old with brain tumour during Sunderland victory

Mesut Ozil and Arsenal had a good night on the pitch after defeating Sunderland 2-0, with Ozil having a direct impact on the match, but the German may have been most satisfied by helping make the wishes of an 11-year-old boy come true.

Ozil has blossomed - Wenger

The Gunners playmaker hosted Charlie, a lifelong Arsenal fan suffering from a brain tumour, in his private box at Emirates Stadium during Tuesday's win. In addition, Charlie and his parents were given a walking tour of the ground before the boy was taken onto the pitch and presented a Man of the Match award by Ozil.

The visit was facilitated by cancer charity My Shining Star, which helped Charlie get in touch with the Arsenal star.

Class all around from Arsenal and Ozil.
