The Brazilians have been beset by injuries of late with a host of key players, including Onyango and Billuat, set to miss the next couple of games

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has urged on the likes of Ivorian striker Yannick Zakri and Sibusiso Vilakazi to come to the party now that some of his regular players are nursing injuries.

"He [Zakri] and Sibusiso Vilakazi must lead us now in the next couple of matches. I think Khama and Anthony will miss at least four games," Mosimane told IOL.

"Unfortunately, he needs the time to understand how the team plays, but the sad part is that you can’t buy time," he said.

The attacking duo did well in Sundowns' 2-0 win over Bidvest Wits at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday.

Mosimane believes if Zakri gets to play next to Tau, he will help him get his first goal for the club since arriving from Asec Mimosas last year.

“I think if he plays next to Percy Tau, he will improve. We also have Leonardo Castro who has been on the bench for some time now. He is hungry and wants to show that he deserves to play more,” Mosimane said.

The former Bafana Bafana coach admitted that their biggest challenge as a team is not their attacking force.

“The complicated and challenging part at Sundowns is not our defence, but upfront,” Mosimane continued.

“We play in patterns at Sundowns. Zakri is a free-spirited player and he just wants the ball in front of him and just wants to run. At Sundowns, you move in a certain way. Look at Themba Zwane, he is not very quick, but he knows how we play as a team,” Mosimane concluded.
