The Leicester striker was willing to cut his salary in half to join the club, but that wasn't enough for the Portuguese side to do a deal. Slamini also doesn't fit the profile wanted by the club, leading to them cancelling talks with the forward.

Valencia boss Javi Gracia is ready to quit after the club failed to support him in the transfer market. Everton have added goalkeeper&nbsp;Robin Olsen on a season-long loan from Roma, <a href="https://www.evertonfc.com/news/1857124">the Premier League side announced.</a> The Toffees' deal for Olsen is their second of deadline day, having previously added Ben Godfrey from Norwich. Olsen heads to England after spending last season on loan with Cagliari.&nbsp;
