Martial, who returned to France for the birth of his child, wants to leave the club, though United have set a £70 million ($92m) fee for the forward. The midfielder has just one year left on his contract and Barca sporting director Eric Abidal went to Paris earlier this summer to try to smoothe over relations with PSG ahead of a bid. However the bad blood from the Neymar and Marco Verratti transfer sagas remains and PSG have refused all inquiries, leaving Barca pessimistic a deal can get done.

Chelsea club director Marina Granovskaia is set to meet with the agent who represents Miralem Pjanic and Daniele Rugani, reports <a href="https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/chelsea-director-in-italy-meet-agent-of-juventus-stars-the-detai-93232" target="_blank">Calciomercato</a>. Granovskaia had headed to Italy where she will meet with Fali Ramadani as well as possibly with Juventus, with an offer for&nbsp;Rugani reportedly already made. The European Champions have been linked to a move with Thibaut Courtois, but Navas is determined to stay regardless, and new coach Julen Lopetegui wants him at the club. Navas’ current contract runs another two seasons, and this deal would extend that by another year or two, through his age-34 or age-35 seasons.

The £22m (€25m/$29m) Marenga would be a reinforcement for a strike force that includes an injured Andy Carroll and Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez deemed inconsistent.
