Odic FC 0-0 (4-1) Stationery Stores

Odic Football Club defeated Stationery Stores 4-1 on penalties to advance to the last 16 stage of the 2017 Lagos State FA Cup on Sunday at the Agege Stadium.

The two sides failed to find the back of the net in the regulation period after the few chances they created failed to find the back of the net in a drab encounter.

While Odic were able to put all four of their kicks behind the net, Stores blew three out of the four they played to end their dreams of reaching the next stage of the tourney.

Spartans FC 1-0 Clique Sports Academy

Dauda Ashade’s goal was all Spartans FC needed to conquer Clique Sports Academy and secure their place among the last 16 teams in the 2017 edition of the Lagos State FA Cup on Sunday at the Agege Stadium.

Both sides kicked off the encounter on a high with exciting display of skills, but the delivery of their final balls were poor due to their inability to convert their chances until the breakthrough came via an Ashade’s 38th minute effort.

After the break, chances were at premium and both sides struggled till the end of the game, as Spartans went away with the lone goal to book their ticket to the next round.

Abray Sports 1-0 Messiah FC

Abray Sports continued their impressive run in the Lagos State FA Cup by defeating Messiah FC 1-0 to book a spot in the Round of 16.

Messiah FC were the better of the sides in the first half but were let down by their touches in the final third. And were made to pay for it when Bamidele Nkunbor popped up with the winner in the second half.

The winger picked the ball on the right wing before cutting in on his left foot to unleash a low venomous strike that cannoned in off the left post.

From there on it was all Abray, but they were unable to add to their advantage which was enough to see them through to the last 16.

MFM FC 4-1 Team360 FC

MFM FC showed superiority over 10-man Team360 FC as they steamroll them 4-1 on Sunday.

The Olukoya Boys started with their regular players including the deadly trio of Chukwuka Onuwa, Sikiru Olatunbosun and Stephen Odey.

And it was the latter that got the opener after he pounced on a half chance in the 20th minute. But just before the interval, Odey limped off.

In the 52nd minute, Olatunbosun increased MFM’s advantage and Adekunle Adegboyega made it 3-0 moments later.

Immediately after Adegboyega’s effort, Team360 were awarded a spot kick and Wasiu Rahmon reduced the deficit. Right back, Stanley Okorom then restored MFM’s three-goal advantage with the second penalty of the encounter.

Olumide Akofe left Team360 a man less after he was shown a straight red card for a bad challenge on MFM midfielder, Giscard Tchato.

The result sees the Nigeria Professional Football League side progress to the Round of 16 of the competition.
