Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has praised his men for their 3-0 win over Free State Stars on Saturday evening at the FNB Stadium.

However, the former Ea Lla Koto boss has urged his troops to dominate the opposition for 90 minutes after registering their first win in the 2018/19 season in all competitions.

The Italian manager also called for more hunger and attacking football, but expressed hope as far as their MTN8 campaign is concernced.

With goals coming from Dumisani Zuma, Leonardo Castro and Khama Billiat, Amakhosi advanced into the semi-finals.

“I’m very proud of my players. Today the performance is brilliant, we played very well,” Solinas told SuperSport TV.

“We deserve to win this game now we focus on the next game and continue to work hard because the road is still long,” he added.

“Kaizer Chiefs need to play attacking football, play the whole 90 minutes with the same idea. We need to improve and I’m very confident with the future because the players are training hard and putting in the effort,” concluded the coach.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi have joined Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals who dispatched Golden Arrows in the first match of the quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon in Tshwane.

The victory comes as a huge morale booster for the Naturena-based club following their 3-1 loss to Bidvest Wits in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) on Tuesday night at home.

On the other hand, they will now turn their focus back to the PSL campaign as they visit Baroka FC on Tuesday in search of their maiden league win at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
