Alexis Sanchez has returned to La Liga after 11 years, joining Sevilla on a one-year deal. Sanchez's last spell in Spain was with Barcelona, where he spent three years before joining Arsenal. He then briefly played for Manchester United before heading to Italy, where he turned out for Inter and took in a second stint at Udinese.
Chelsea's out-of-favour winger Raheem Sterling will remain at Stamford Bridge at least until January. Sterling, who spent last season on loan at Arsenal, was deemed surplus to Enzo Maresca's needs ahead of the 2025-26 season, but the England international failed to find a new club in the summer transfer window.
Manchester City have confirmed the departure of Ederson, who has joined Fenerbahce in a €14million (£12m/$16m) transfer. After arriving at City from Benfica in 2017, the goalkeeper made 372 appearances across all competitions and won multiple trophies, including six Premier League crowns and the Champions League. However, he fell down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola at the start of the new season and decided to seek an exit.
Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been handed a six-month driving ban for repeatedly flouting UK traffic laws. Mudryk was provisionally suspended from football in December 2024 following a positive drugs test. In June, he was charged with violating anti-doping laws and is now awaiting the final outcome of an FA investigation.
Wrexham completed the double signing of Manchester City starlet Issa Kabore and Blackburn Rovers defender Dominic Hyam on deadline day. Kabore, who joined the Cityzens in 2020, has had six different loan spells across Europe in the last five years and will now be taking in a seventh with the Red Dragons. Hyam, a former Reading youth player, joins the Welsh side permanently after spending three seasons at Blackburn.
