After Wissa walked out of Brentford training in a bid to leave the club earlier this summer, the forward is inching closer to a Newcastle transfer, with the Bees holding out for £40 million ($54m). Now, former Brentford manager Martin Allen has laid into the 28-year-old for his actions.

WHAT ALLEN SAID
When asked what he would say to Wissa, Allen said on X: "F*ck off then. No good having whingers and moaners in the camp. Only want players that want to wear the shirt. He can f*ck right off."
He added in a subsequent tweet: "Agents get them much more money. Their head gets turned. It’s massive money. It’s part of life. Brentford have had excellent recruitment so let’s hope new players stepping up do the business."
It may just be a matter of time before the DR Congo international, who scored 20 goals for Brentford last season in 39 games, swaps Brentford for Newcastle. Either way, it is likely he has played his last game for the Bees.
