He has also seen his wife star in the 2024 edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, with Coleen being inundated with offers on the back of her runner-up finish on that show. She was paid £1.5 million for her spell in Australia, but her post-jungle earnings are set to dwarf that fee.

  • WHAT AN INSIDER SAID

A seven-figure proposal is said to be on the table for Coleen to join the ‘Loose Women’ panel, but streaming providers are battling to put a fly-on-the-wall series in place. An insider has told Closer: “Coleen is at the centre of a huge bidding war between all the networks and streaming services who are desperate to sign her up. ITV are the frontrunners to get her for Loose Women and she would love to do it, but Netflix are now coming in with some big-money offers – we’re talking offers of well over £1m. Coleen has shown that she’s a very good listener and people open up to her, so they want to capitalise on that.”

    DID YOU KNOW?

The source went on to say, with TV companies desperate to buy into Coleen’s “chaotic” home life: “The nation is obsessed with hearing about life inside the Rooney mansion and they want to see her in her day-to-day life and find out what really goes on. Although Wayne doesn’t enjoy that side of fame, he would be up for it as he’s done it before and, if Coleen agrees, he knows it’s a good idea.”

The insider added: “Even though she did her documentary with Disney+, Coleen doesn’t have a contract with them, and Netflix and the others would all love to do a reality show with all the family.”

  • WHAT NEXT?

Wayne is currently based 260 miles away from the family home that he shares with Coleen and their four sons, with the ex-England captain committing fully to a coaching project in Devon that has already provided plenty of challenges.
