Vinicius Jr set to earn 30% more than Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid as Brazilian superstar's contract demands revealed

According to AS, Vinicius Jr wants to be paid €20 million (£16.5m) a year - a 33 per cent rise from the salary he and Mbappe are currently on (€15m/£12.4m). The report adds talks over a new deal will resume in the summer.

Vinicius Jr has been the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League, who are said to be willing to offer him €1 billion (£832.2m). But the 24-year-old has insisted he wants to stay at Madrid and if they satisfy his salary demands, the Brazilian is likely to sign a new deal.

The Brazil international, whose contract runs until 2027, has scored 102 goals and bagged 76 assists in 300 appearances since signing for Madrid in 2018 from Flamengo.

Amid this contract speculation, Vinicius Jr will hope to add to his goal contribution tally when Los Blancos host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
