Wayne Rooney enjoyed a remarkable career at the very highest level, having burst onto the scene as a precociously-gifted teenager at Everton. He completed a record-breaking transfer to Old Trafford in 2004 and would go on to spend 13 years with the Red Devils.

During that time, Rooney became United’s all-time leading scorer – with 253 goals recorded through 559 appearances. He won five Premier League titles, the FA Cup, three League Cups, the Champions League and countless individual prizes – including the Golden Boy award and PFA Player of the Year.

Some of those trophies are on display at the Cheshire mansion he shares with wife Coleen and their four son. Kai Rooney, who is making a name for himself in United’s academy system, has given supporters a look at the stunning collection of honours that his dad possesses.

Rooney also has his England caps on show, having represented the Three Lions on 120 occasions and scored 53 goals for his country. He is still involved in football and is looking to rebuild his coaching reputation during a testing spell in charge of Championship side Plymouth.
