Leicester secured an immediate return to the Premier League after winning the Championship title in the past week. However, earlier this year, the outlook was more bleak as their 17-point lead over Leeds was vanquished within a couple of months. Following Leeds' 3-1 win over the Foxes in late February, forward Georginio Rutter said the Yorkshire side were the division's best team - and now winger Mavididi has used those words to haunt the Frenchman.

On X, formerly Twitter, Mavididi has posted a clip of Rutter's remarks in the background, while he brushes his teeth and looks nonplussed in the foreground.

Leicester proved they were the Championship's best side by finishing top of the table. Leeds, on the other hand, are likely to have to go through the play-offs to reach the Premier League as they are three points behind second-placed Ipswich Town with one match remaining.

Leicester will celebrate their title triumph at home to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday at King Power Stadium. The Foxes, however, are likely to face a points deduction next season due to breaching profit and sustainability rules.
