'He's a phenomenon' - Thomas Tuchel raves about Harry Kane and explains the 'very rare' quality that sets Bayern Munich star apart

Harry Kane became the quickest player to reach 20 Bundesliga goals in just 14 appearances on Sunday as his brace helped Bayern Munich pick up a crucial 3-0 win over Stuttgart at Allianz Arena.

After the match, Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel was full of praise for the star forward as he claimed that the club are grateful to have a player of his quality.

Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, Tuchel said, "Harry is Harry, he’s a phenomenon in front of goal. He’s a top professional and a top guy and he proves it, he steps up and he proves it. He steps up, it's totally normal for him to take responsibility. Totally normal to put the effort in, in a defensive performance like this today.

"This is very rare to have this kind of quality, to be decisive all the time and then be a team player, that’s why we’re grateful to have him, he's a true leader."

The former Tottenham Hotspur star has enjoyed a purple patch since moving to Germany in the summer having already scored 24 goals - including three hat-tricks - across all competitions in 21 matches and has provided eight assists.

Tuchel's side will play their final Bundesliga game on Wednesday against Wolfsburg before the league pauses for the winter break.
