Cristiano Ronaldo's career is littered with broken records but after his move to Serie A giants Juventus, he is primed to shatter even more

  • Cristiano Ronaldo 2017

#1 First player to win EPL, La Liga & Serie A

No player in history has ever previously claimed top-flight titles in England, Spain and Italy. Given Juventus have won seven Scudetti in a row, this is one record that looks well within Ronaldo's reach.

#2 Winning the Champions League with three different clubs

Clarence Seedorf is the only man to have lifted the Champions League trophy with three different clubs: Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan (twice). Ronaldo, though, is now primed to match the Dutchman's feat, having already won the tournament with Manchester United and Real Madrid (four times). Of course, it is worth remembering that it is 22 years since Juventus were last crowned champions of Europe. Still, with Ronaldo now on board, they will be among the favourites to win next season's competition.

    #3 Winning six European Cups

After helping Real Madrid win a fourth Champions League in five seasons, Ronaldo now has five titles of his own, thanks to his triumph with Manchester United in 2008. Only one player, Blancos legend Paco Gento, has more. The former Spain great racked up six European Cups for Real between 1956 and 1965 but one more tournament win with Juve would see Ronaldo equal that incredible record.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid Granada La Liga Ballon d'Or

    #4 A sixth Ballon d'Or

Like Lionel Messi, Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or five times. Having trailed to his Barcelona rival by four to one in 2012, the Portuguese has claimed the prestigious prize four more times in the past five years. Given he's already among the leading contenders to win this year's trophy, a strong start to his Serie A career with Juve could well seal an unprecedented sixth Ballon d'Or. It would also mean a first Juventus winner since Pavel Nedved in 2003.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo Golden Shoe Madrid Levante La Liga 101712015

#5 A fifth European Golden Shoe

Ronaldo has taken home the European Golden Shoe on four occasions, finishing top of the rankings once during his time in the Premier League with United (2007-8) and then twice in Spain (2010-11 2014-15), as well as sharing the prize with Luis Suarez in 2013-14. However, great rival Messi leads the way with five triumphs. Ronaldo will be confident of taking Serie A by storm but it is worth noting that the league hasn't produced a European Golden Shoe winner since Francesco Totti in 2006-07, with 26 goals.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid 2017-18

#6 Most Serie A goals in a single season

Juventus are currently in possession of the man who has scored the most goals (36) across a single Serie A season, Gonzalo Higuain. However, with Ronaldo set to replace the Argentine up front, one wonders if the Portuguese could also take the striker's record. It will not be easy, particularly as the 33-year-old has primarily been signed to win the Champions League, meaning he could be occasionally rested for Serie A games. Still, Ronaldo has scored more than 36 goals in a single season on three previous occasions (2010-11, 2011-12, 2014-15); if he can do so again, he'll make another piece of history.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo Juventus Real Madrid Champions League

#7 Most goals in all competitions for Juventus

Netting more than 36 goals in Serie A alone would also see Ronaldo become Juventus' record scorer across a single season in all competitions. Ferenc Herzer currently tops the standings, having struck 35 times during the 1925-26 campaign.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid Juventus UEFA Champions League

    #8 Most Champions League hat-tricks

Both Ronaldo and Messi have racked up a staggering seven Champions League hat-tricks to date. Given his remarkable recent scoring rate in the competition, Ronaldo will be confident of edging ahead of the Barcelona ace for new club Juve.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid Atletico Madrid Champions League

    #9 Most hat-tricks in Serie A

This particular record might even be beyond Ronaldo but this is not a man who lacks ambition. Also, he specialises in hat-tricks. As a result, perhaps it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he could surpass Gunnar Nordahl and Giuseppe Meazza's haul of 17 trebles apiece. Ronaldo would first need to stay in Turin for the duration of his four-year contract and then average just over four hat-tricks a season. If anyone can, Ronaldo can...
  • Cristiano Ronaldo Sami Khedira Real Madrid

#10 First player to be top scorer in EPL, La Liga & Serie A

Both John Charles and Christian Vieri have topped the scoring charts in two of Europe's 'Big Five' leagues. Welsh legend Charles was the English First Divison's leading marksman with Leeds in 1957 and then repeated the feat in Italy the following year after joining Juventus. Vieri, meanwhile, claimed La Liga's Pichichi award in 1998, after a stellar season at Atletico Madrid, before finishing as Serie A's Capocannoniere in 2002-03 for Inter. However, Ronaldo is now poised to outdo them both. Having already top-scored in the Premier League for United in 2007-08 and taken home the Pichichi on three occasions (2010-11, 2013-14, 2014-15), he can now become the first man to be the leading goalscorer in the EPL, La Liga and Serie A.
