'It is a concern' - Roberto Martinez worried after pitch invader confronts Cristiano Ronaldo during his warm-up ahead of Portugal's Nations League tie against Germany

A supporter ran up to Ronaldo during the warm-up ahead of the semi-final in Munich, which Portugal won 2-1. Though the situation was quickly dealt with, the Portugal boss was not happy that an invader was able to get so close to his captain.

Martinez said: "It is a concern because today the intentions of the fans were good. But there will be a difficult moment if the intentions are wrong and players are exposed. I don’t think that should happen. Maybe there is a message to the fans that this is not the right way. It is not good that the players are so exposed on the pitch."

Ronaldo scored the late winner in Portugal's comeback victory on his 219th international appearance. While he continues to extend his remarkable international career, however, his club future is less certain, with his deal at Al-Nassr set to run out at the end of this month.

Ronaldo is next in action on Sunday, when Portugal take on Spain or France in the Nations League final.
