PSG's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sides with Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo in GOAT debate despite history with Portugal captain

Kvaratskhelia insists he prefers Messi over Ronaldo when it comes to his opinion on the greatest player of all time. The Georgia international has history with the latter, having met him when he was just seven years old and playing at a football academy in his country. Kvaratskhelia also scored in a 2-0 win over Portugal at Euro 2024, and procured Ronaldo's shirt afterwards.

Despite that, the winger insists that Messi has an edge over the Al-Nassr veteran, as he is from "another world". The Argentina ace, of course, has won the World Cup, while Ronaldo hasn't, but there are few other differences in terms of honours.

Speaking on a YouTube livestream with JasonTheWeen, Kvaratskhelia said: "For me, you know, I love Ronaldo so much, but of course Messi is from another planet in the world of soccer. Both of them are crazy."

Messi is playing at the Club World Cup, as is Kvaratskhelia. Inter Miami face Porto on Thursday, while PSG play Botafogo on Friday.
