WHAT HAPPENED?
Wrexham brought in a string of new faces during the summer transfer window to aide their bid to battle for the League One title after earning promotion from League Two last season. While the transfer window is already closed, the Red Dragons can still sign free agents and have had one on trial recently.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ex-City youth player Josh Adam is currently training with the Red Dragons in recent weeks. The Scotland youth international left the Premier League champions at the end of last season and Parkinson appears to have been impressed by him.
WHAT PARKINSON SAID
The Welsh team's manager told The Athletic reporter Richard Sutcliffe: "We've had young Josh Adam in on trial from Manchester City. He's a player we'd like to keep. He has real talent."
