Mullin has said in his autobiography ‘My Wrexham Story’ of how resolving that issue will make life even easier for the most ambitious of teams to progress as a collective: “These days we train at Colliers Park, the National Football Development Centre of the Football Association of Wales, ten minutes down the road from the Racecourse. Other times we use Carden Park, a leisure complex about 15 miles away. They’re both brilliant, but the fact that everything – training pitch, gym, restaurant – isn’t in one place still isn’t ideal. It means more travelling and constant changes of clothes and gear – not a big deal in the big scheme of things but something any professional football club would be keen to iron out. When we have our own dedicated training facility – these things don’t happen overnight – it will be another big step forward.”
