    The goalkeeper was among several Lionesses stars who took to social media to pay their tributes to the famous fan who went viral last year for her touching reaction upon receiving her first-ever Lionesses shirt as a gift. The English players later sat down with her at St George's Park.

    On Instagram, the Lionesses posted in a statement: "We are devastated to hear about the passing of Lyn, our 100-year-old Lionesses fan. We were honoured to have met and spent time with Lyn at St. George’s Park a few months ago. Our thoughts are with her friends, family and loved ones at this difficult time."

    Earps shared a photograph of Lyn where she can be seen holding a tablet with a picture of the goalkeeper from her hospital bed. The United player uploaded it as her Instagram story and wrote: "So glad we got to meet Lyn. Rest in Peace."
