Man City's business isn't done yet! Pep Guardiola's side chasing Tino Livramento from Newcastle and Wesley from Flamengo to replace Kyle Walker at right-back

City have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, buying Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri to take their total spending in 2025 to £289 million ($392m). But they are still looking to bolster their squad to ensure there is no repeat of last season's harrowing, trophy-less campaign.

According to The Athletic, right-back is the area City are most focused on. Livramento, who is currently starring at the U21 Euros with England, is a target along with Wesley, who has been in action for Flamengo at the Club World Cup. Livramento, however, is seen as a tough deal to pull off given Newcastle will be desperate to keep him after qualifying for the Champions League.

City are likely to offload at least three players to make sure Guardiola has the small squad he craves, according to The Athletic. Walker is on the lookout for a permanent move after spending the latter half of last season on loan at AC Milan, as is Kalvin Phillips following his spell on loan at Ipswich. Jack Grealish is expected to leave too after also being left out of City's Club World Cup squad. James McAtee, who is on England U21 duty with Livramento, is another player who could depart although his future will not be decided until he returns from the tournament.

City play their final Group G game at the Club World Cup against Juventus, needing a win to finish top of the group and likely avoid a last-16 clash with Real Madrid. They will be without Rico Lewis after his suspension for getting sent off against Wydad Casablanca was extended to three games. It means Matheus Nunes is likely to continue at right-back.
