Liverpool interested in 'lightning fast' Trent Alexander-Arnold replacement who has £30m release clause and want to sign him before the Club World Cup

GiveMeSport report that the Reds are keen on Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong, who is described as "lightning quick", to fill the void left by Real Madrid-bound Alexander-Arnold. The club view the Dutch international's price tag as a potential bargain.

Alexander-Arnold announced earlier this week he was set to leave Liverpool this summer, with the expectation being that a move to Real Madrid will take place. The Reds will not receive a fee for their out-of-contract full-back, so must generate funds from elsewhere to replace him.

Conor Bradley has many admirers at Anfield and could well step up more in Alexander-Arnold's absence. However the Reds are keen to bring in a new signing to help fill the void.

Liverpool can focus on transfer planning having won the Premier League title with weeks of the season to spare. They host Arsenal this weekend, though, with Brighton and Crystal Palace still to come before the end of the season.
