Brutal blow for Lionel Messi and Inter Miami! USMNT starlet Benjamin Cremaschi ruled out for 'two to three months' after undergoing sports hernia surgery

The Herons announced that their teenage sensation is set to be sidelined until April at the earliest, after the 18-year-old underwent surgery for a sports hernia. it will be a gaping hole in the midfield for Tata Martino, who was expecting the USMNT starlet to play an important role for him centrally.

Cremaschi being sidelined is an all around negative for the Herons, as the youngster provided a spark in the XI and off the bench in 2023. He even received his first USMNT call up and played in an international friendly against Oman. He started 21 of 28 matches last campaign, netting two goals and attributing four assists.

Cremaschi is Argentine-American and as a result, is a dual-national.

The Herons are currently on their preseason World Tour, where they are set to travel to Saudi Arabia next week. They will take on Alexandr Mitrovic and Al Hilal, which will then be followed by a contest against Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr in the Riyadh Cup.
