Leon Goretzka makes decision on Bayern Munich future amid transfer interest from Man Utd & Tottenham

Per Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg, the German midfielder will not leave Bayern in the upcoming January transfer window as he has decided to stay at the Bavarian club at least until the end of the season. Goretzka was strongly linked with a move away from the German giants in January with several top clubs keen on signing him, including Premier League giants United and Spurs.

The 29-year-old has seen his game time massively reduced under new boss Vincent Kompany, starting only three of the seven league games in which he has featured this season. His contract expires in the summer of 2026.

The Red Devils are looking to bolster their squad in the January window as they reportedly plan on signing a new attacker as well as adding a solid midfield option.

Kompany included Goretzka in Bayern's matchday squad against Heidenheim on Saturday, and the Germany international came off the bench to score as his team secured a 4-2 win.
