Elland Road was rocking on Easter Monday as four goals from Joel Piroe and another from Junior Firpo put Leeds on the brink of automatic promotion from the Championship. The former Swansea City striker also became the club's first player to score four goals in the first half of a competitive game.

If Sheffield United fail to beat Burnley later on Monday, Leeds' return to the Premier League will be secured. If the Whites failed to go up this season, that would be a hammer blow to the club's finances as they would be in the last year of their top-flight parachute payments in 2025-26, many of their best players would likely leave, and it would be even harder to get promoted next term. So an awful lot is riding on these set of results.
