THE BIGGER PICTURE
Before leaving Paris, Mbappe hosted a farewell party at the upscale Paris restaurant Gigi, formerly known as La Maison Blanche (the white house). The event was attended by his closest friends and many of his PSG team-mates, but club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was reportedly absent from the guest list of 250. Lamari made an early exit from the party, and fielded a couple of questions from the media before heading home in a taxi.
WHAT LAMARI SAID
As per RMC Sport, when Lamari was asked about the party and the evening, she said: "Honestly, it’s like a separation, it’s magical, Paris is magical.”
She was then quizzed about Mbappe's next destination, and replied cryptically: "I think you all already know."
DID YOU KNOW?
Although AL-Khelaifi wasn't on the guest list, it has been reported that French President Emmanuel Macron did make time to attend the gala. However, his presence was not officially confirmed by his public relations team.

WHAT NEXT?
Mbappe is expected to sign a five-year contract with Real Madrid. Given Mbappe’s upcoming participation in the Euros with the French national team, there is speculation that the signing could be announced just before the tournament and after the Champions League final on June 2. However, any official unveiling will require a green signal from PSG as Mbappe's contract with the Parisians doesn't officially end until June 30.
