KPL Super Cup: Felly Mulumba and the key players for Bandari FC vs. Gor Mahia

10:08 EAT 18/08/2019
Bandari FC players celebrate winning FKF Shield Cup.
Goal lists the players’ the Dockers’ coach will rely on when they face K’Ogalo in the season opener set for Sunday

  • Sofapaka keeper Justin Ndikumana.

    Justin Ndikumana

The Burundian custodian managed to keep 12 clean sheets last season for Sofapaka despite this being his first experience in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) and Bandari will depend on his gloves to stop any threats from Gor Mahia strikers as he attempts to prove he can fill the shoes left by Farouk Shikalo, who ditched the Dockers to sign for Yanga SC of Tanzania.
  • Felly Mulumba of Bandari FC v Al Ahly Shendi.

    Felly Mulumba

The Congolese-import has been the key figure in Bandari's defence and was vital in the last two KPL seasons as the Dockers finished behind eventual winners Gor Mahia on two occasions. Being the captain of the side, his composure and leadership will play key roles during the KPL Super Cup showdown on Sunday.
  • MUSAB MOHEMED of Al Ahly Shande FIGHT WITH COLLINS AGADE of Bandari FC

    Danson Chetambe

The midfielder has been a sensation since signing from Zoo Kericho FC as he showed his prowess both in the Cecafa Kagame Cup held in Rwanda and during the Caf Confederation Cup against Al Ahly Shendi of Sudan. The Dockers will need Chetambe to be on top form and boss the midfield to help stifle Gor Mahia’s moves or else they will miss out on the first trophy of the season.

  • ABDALLAH HASSAN of Bandari FC v AWAD HAMD of Al Ahly Shendi.

    Abdalla Hassan

Bandari will be looking up to the right-winger to create enough chances against Gor Mahia. The Kenyan international scored six goals last season and should he score on Sunday then he would cement his place in the Dockers’ starting eleven for the rest of the season.
  • John Kuol of Kariobangi Sharks v Yema Mwana from Bandari.

    Yema Mwana

The speedy striker was a key goal-poacher for the Dockers last season and managed to hit the net 12 times despite competition from Ugandan forward William Wadri. Should Mwema manage to be on form once again, then Gor Mahia’s defenders will be in for a real challenge at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday.
