Karim Benzema to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr? Striker in talks with Saudi-based club as he bids to leave Al-Ittihad

The French star has been linked with a move away from Al-Ittihad after it was reported that he is unhappy at the Saudi Pro League side. Now L’Équipe (via AS) reports that Benzema has spoken to a Riyadh-based club which fueled speculations that he could link up with his former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.

Al-Ittihad coach Marcelo Gallardo has reportedly frozen out the veteran striker and the Jeddah-based club are open to let him leave on a temporary deal in January, but only within the Saudi Pro League. Other than Al-Nassr, league leaders Al-Hilal are also being linked with the France international.

Benzema and Ronaldo played at Real Madrid side by side for nine years between 2009 and 2018 during which they won multiple trophies including four Champions League titles.

The former Ballon d'Or winner was previously tipped to move back to Europe and was linked with a move to Manchester United, although the Red Devils made it clear that they are in no position financially to make new signings in the January transfer window.
