Julian Alvarez set to leave Man City in club-record £82m transfer as Atletico Madrid reach total agreement for Argentina forward

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Per David Ornstein of The Athletic, Atletico Madrid have reached a 'total agreement' to sign Argentine forward Alvarez from reigning Premier League champions Manchester City. The English side will receive a club-record transfer fee of £82m (€95m including add-ons) in exchange for Alvarez, subject to the 24-year-old finalising personal terms with Atletico.

    The two clubs had been negotiating the terms of the payment and a final fee since Monday, however, they have now reached an agreement. Atletico will discuss personal terms with Alvarez before he formally completes his move to Spain,but it has been reported he is eager to take on a new challenge away from City.
